No point to Dragon Armor

But it is useful.... upgrade Dragonplate armor to legendary and sell it off. i can guarantee you can get at least 1.5 k gold from every armor sold.

I'm one of the people who took off Daedric. It didn't really fit the character, you know? I use Draugr armor instead, now... for looks. Not even as powerful as Dragonbone, but I like the rustic look to it. Wish it had more choices for mixing and matching, though - kinda like steel has.

All the Deadric armor looks like sh*t. Its some of the stupidest looking armor ingame and the Dragonplate is in second place. Deadric weapons are crappy looking as well, how about some realistic looking swords and bows and less jagged looking crap that a 3 year with ADD drew up.

My favorite armor in the game so far is Deadric armor and ebony armor and I like the Deadric and ebony weapons too don't know why some people don't like them and the wolf armor interesting.

I really like to know why we not able to make dragon weapons?

I don't like or dislike it, but I stopped smithing at Glass Armor because I think it's the most aesthetically pleasing.

If you really want to min/max, you can hit the armor cap with Steel. So the armor you choose is purely for the looks at this point.

My eyes cry blood for you. I wear Steel Plate (it's a solid choice of armour), and I had to take the Glass Armour perk just to upgrade it. Now, that was a wasted perk...I've knocked off so many thalmor patrols that I could open a glaziers with all the glass armour I've got.

I don't know that there has to be a reason. I don't see you complaining because Dwarven armor becomes as strong as Ebony armor if you complete a single quest.

The "Ancient Knowledge" perk is actually bugged. It works for ALL Armor, not just Dwarven. It also does 15% Fortify Smithing, instead of increasing the rate at which Smithing gains.

When I made dragonscale armor it was all covered in points. It is maybe a graphics bug.

With a couple smithing enhancers and potions any armor can be easily brought above cap. Then it is just all aesthetics. So Dragon = Daedric = Ebony = Glass = Dwarven = steel = scale = place = fur = all pointless.

At least spending perks to get there, unless that particular look is how you envision your character.

If you have a follower that is skilled in light armor the dragonscale is better for her than daedric.

Matter of opinion.

I took the perk on my Warrior, and I never have regretted the fact.
Sure it might look somewhat ugly to some people, but in my personal opinion. It looks pretty badass. I'd be more petrified of somewhere wearing a suit of armor made from dragon bones, than someone wearing some glowing dark metal that it literally covered in spikes. (following up issues with getting through doorways)

I'd rather have the Dragonplate as a final perk, than having to waste a point on it so I can get Daedric. In the future, you'll know not to take it.

Its not all about stats,, the look is important too. And the dragonarmor is really ugly, and it looks clumsy too.

Hooray for your random use of the Return key.

I see what youre saying and IMO Dragonplate stats and Daedric stats should be switched but dont worry so much about the damn stats. Theres like, what, a 20 or 30 point difference with Master Heavy Armor so who cares. Theres more to games than stats; theres aesthetics. Thats why I use full Dragonplate minus my Daedric Helm and why I use an Ebony Battleaxe/Blade's Sword over the Daedric equivalents.

When I first hit 100 smithing, I could make dragon straight away because I had been storing all my dragon bones. I couldn't be bothered to get the Daedra Hearts and Ebony Ingots, and Dragonplate is what... like 5 points worse than Daedric, OH [censored], I hit the armour cap eventually anyway and it looks cool. Be your character and enjoy playing it rather than thinking "I HAVE TO GET THE ABSOLUTE BEST STUFF!"

I don't get what's all the hate about Daedric armor.. Sure It looks evol, but thats what it essentially is(made with a heart of a demon and all).
As for the usefulness of the Dragon smithing perk.. well the Light armor in the line is the best Light armor in game(AR wise) and about Dragon Plate having less armor rating than Daedric, well, theres no point to armor rating at that.. point in the game, since, as already stated multiple times, it's easy to reach the cap with pretty much any armor type, so it serves mostly cosmetic purpose.

Ever thought that maybe people don't just go for what's best. This is skyrim, not some multiplayer crap.

Its good that the game has many different armor styles. Not everything is going to appeal to everyone, but at least its varied enough that you are bound to find something you like.
My favorites are dragonscale and ebony. I don't really like daedric, elven, dwarven or dragonbone.

Because you can boost them all with smithing their relative strengths don't matter all that much, so you can just go with which one you find the most aesthetically pleasing.

If people who looked at stats didn't buy the game beth would make less sales. If people who play WoW didn't buy the game Beth would make less sales. If everyone who wants to gain something with what are basicly UPGRADE points didn't buy the game Beth would lose sales. At some point you fan boys would have to start a forum somewhere else to rail against anyone who isn't on the party line because Beth wouldn't be able to afford one.

Oh and if people wanted Fan boy replies they wouldn't bother posting here. Funny thougt some of you should go fight the WoW fan boys and say WoW isn't an RPG on WoW forums. Maybe a joint Blizard/Beth event "Battle of the raging OMG he said what [censored]" no really it would be a great event for 12-12-12.

I finally got my smithing to level 100, spent a perk point on dragon armor smithing and now I wish I hadn't. I should have stopped at level 90 smithing, Daedric armor (AND weapons)... Daedric armor has a better armor rating than

dragonplate. And fully upgraded, the Daedric armor rating is multiplied and the stats are even better than Dragonplate.

My character is using heavy armor, so I instinctively thought dragon armour would be better than daedric. With daedric you can get it at level 90 -but dragon is all the way at 100... And dragon armor is useless. Why????? What is the

point of it? why would anyone wear it???

I can understand for light armor users, but for heavy armor you should skip it. Daedric looks better too. dragonplate armor in my opinion is the least visually appealing armor in the entire game. I was happier with my characters

appearance when he was wearing hide armor rather than dragonplate.

And one other thing.... You don't get new weapons to forge with the dragon smithing perk!!! it's just uglier/worse armor.

Can anyone tell me a reason why dragonplate armor isn't completely useless and a waste of time???

yes yes you just wasted a perk point , but wasting 1 point not a big deal so don't worry .
