I'm at the point where I will never preorder another game unless they are a proven product. For example, I will buy L.A. Noire. Rockstar has had two straight game of the year awards with GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption. Never again will I buy something like this. I went back and watched video from their early promotion of this game and for the life of me I can't figure out how this game is so much uglier than what they are playing in these videos. Never have I bought a game that was so bad that the textures couldn't even load. I love the concept of this game but I feel like I have been tricked into buying a multiplayer only game. How could they even make a claim that this is a campaign played through multiplayer. Capturing an objective or escorting is nothing new. A short meaningless clip while the game loads does not make this a campain played thought multiplayer. Even that isn't a deal breaker. The fact that this game is literally broken is the deal breaker. They have until May 17th to fix this crap. I will trade this in when I pick up L.A. Noire. This will easliy be the first time I have paid for a game and traded it all within 7 days.

My feelings exactly. Never been more ripped off in my gaming life.

for what it is worth, i have seen my game-experience improve greatly since this morning. i was running 8x8 at about 90% lag free. textures loading, hit and miss, but at least very-little rubber-banding. whatever you're doing, Bethesda, keep it up until this product is fixed.

I have been trying to play everyday since i got the game and cant play online at all. I lag horribly and when im dead i have a perfect green connection but when i spawn in i drop to a full height red bar. I had one game i never touched my controller and lagged all the way accross the map at small intervals until reaching the other side.

Ok this is annoying two days in a row this game online is worthless to play after 2 or 3 pm eastern. Bethesday fix your latency issues or lose potential Rage customers. I do not like losing agame online because latency issue freeze ups. Seriously I will move forward the game will freeze and then I will be dead waiting for a respawn.

I hear you I feel ripped off as well with 20 quick levels to play through in campaign mode in which it takes like half a day to finish I feel like I spent 60 dollars on a 800 point DLC. Without the online play, functioning this game is more like the precursor to a BBB report for shady

This could effect me renting it or buying it. Anyone else having these issues on 360?

I dloaded the game onto the hard drive and it seems to better in multiplayer. However it seems like its a hit or miss issue with the game dloaded acording to these forums. the gameplay is fun if you arent having lag issues, and the concept not being just a "blast as many people as you can" is a new and welcomed change. to the FPS genre. The parkour type movement is also pretty cool.

We have been working on updates for Brink to address the lag issue that some people have reported they were experiencing.

In the meantime, we have made a configuration change for 360 users (which will be available to the PS3, once PSN is up) that alters the number of human players when matchmaking for “Campaign” and most ‘Freeplay’ modes to eight total human players. This new configuration will allow those connecting to and hosting matches (particularly those with lower upstream bandwidth) to more reliably find and connect to quality hosts via the match-making process – resulting in less lag and more fun. This change is being rolled out today and will be available worldwide.

For players who haven’t been experienced lag, we’ll still support 8v8 on all maps via a new ‘Big Teams’ configuration in Freeplay, and through custom settings in Private matches. There is no download required for this update and it will be available automatically the next time you log in to play Brink and launch either campaign or standard Freeplay matches. This should allow players new to the Ark as well as veterans to find quality matches suitable to their preferred play style.

We are also releasing an incremental update for PC players via Steam that addresses AI, GPU, and server issues. See the http://store.steampowered.com/news/5464/. Many of these fixes are being included in the full update for the 360 and PS3 versions.

We would like to thank you for supporting Brink and for your continued feedback. To show our appreciation for your support of Brink, we will be making the first DLC for Brink available for free when it is released. This DLC is planned for June and will offer additional maps. We’ll continue to provide announcements about the next title update, as well as the first DLC release as that information becomes available.

DL'd the patch, and the lag is atrocious. I'm walking into walls and haven't had more than 5 seconds of continuous gameplay without game-breaking lagginess. I've spent the last hour with the screen skipping, or being frozen in place, or finding myself behind cover one second and unexplainably out of cover and 3 feet to my right a second later. I tried a dozen different games, hoping at first it was just a bad host. I bought this game for the multiplayer and can't even play it.

I am experiencing the exact same issues. I really hope they can get this fixed, the games multiplayer shows a lot of promise. As a single player game it is worthless because the AI does whatever the hell it wants and you cant get any strategies coordinated. Multiplayer should be a blast but since it is completely unplayable due to lag issues the game is pretty much a $60 drink coaster. I guess I will go and trade it in while it is still worth something.

Lagging like crazy on online modes. I played 5 games and all them lag me and freeze me. Really pissed off as I bought Black Ops on the release day and more people were playing this and no lagging.

I hope they fix this as my stats are reflecting of this lag as I'm getting killed and can't move.

Also where is this logon to see online stats like it says in the game. I can't find it to enter the code.

Hey man I'm having the same problem with finding the logon thing so I can redeem the code so I could keep track of the my stats as well.

Whatever the last update was. It did nothing to help this lag issue. I can only hope you folks get this corrected soon. I appreciate the free dlc offer but honestly I'd just like to have a good multi player experience. Solo play on this game is great. Yeah, the bots are kinda dumb sometimes but at least I can play a game without stuttering all over the place.

Attempting to play full on 8v8 campaign or their new big team matches, is basically an exercise in futility, All you will do is lag uncontrollably.
The only game modes that work fairly well for me and anyone i know is freeplay competitive and old skool.
The max players in these are 4v4 and 5v5 which probably explains it.
Either way the games still broken, and free DLC that for all i know is a free gun, doesnt make up for this mess that they have created.

This is B.S.
I'm tired, so tired, of playing a broke game. I cant believe I influenced my friends with so much pre-release hype into buying this game.

This lag experience continues even after the patch update!!!!!

Freeplay:
I have played Freeplay>Public Games>Match Settings:Standard
and am getting loads of lag. Lag no different then BEFORE the Patch.

I tried Match Settings:Big Teams
Wow! The lag was horrible, and I'm talking lag as in ok its just lagging , I can press through it, I'm talking Lag so bad you you have to QUIT THE GAME after in it for 2 mins.it's that bad

The only time I DONT find lag, is when playing Campaign Co-Op Public or Private.

I'm thinking to myself, "self, you bought a bad game. You left bashing CoD and waited in anticipation for a really great team based game called Brink. Now, you ended up with a game that is Broken It's time to go ahead and call Time of Death"

I didnt even buy the new CoD map pack so, I guess I'll throw this game on Ebay, and go play CoD. At least next week is L.A. Noire.

Thanks for a great game Splash Damage. :goodjob:

I know I posted above saying I experienced no lag while playing Co-op campaign,
Tonight, I thought, ok, let's give brink another chance yet again, and not haste to throwing it on Ebay
tonight while playing co-op public campaign we played and there was def. lag when it was
8 real players in the game. How about not worrying about giving way free DLC, and give away a free patch that actually will fix this game.

I think the majority of the matches I played today were lag free, but the ones that did have it were straight up unplayable. Its like there isn't an in between.
