Did you watch him last year? He came up clutch a few times in the 4th, but that was after spending 3 and half quarters throwing the ball in the ground.

Really disgusted with the NFL, they overpunished the Saints, when others have commited worse crimes and have gotten less punishment or equal but should've been more. Players could get injured on every play regardless if it's intential or not. Stalloworth killed a man, yet he's still playing, Vick drowned dogs, yet he's still playing, doesn't make sense at all.

It's a lose, lose situation either way, if they trade him and Peyton gets hurt or struggles they are screwed. If they don't trade Tebow then you got a Giant Piano hanging over Peytons head.


That's because Denver didn't allow him to run the plays that he's good at, too many times Denver ran the ball on 1st down, instead of throwing it.

There you go. Remember he was in his first year as a starter, who cares how he gets a team to the playoffs? Remember a guy named Micheal Vick? He was as inaccurate as can be when he first came into the league

Folks Tebow is a mediocre at best QB plain and simple. What makes him have any value is his versatility. If teams knew he couldn't run the ball like they did they would be much more successful in defending against him. He had a nice run, and did an excellent job of coming up in the clutch but he's not the long-term solution for any team.

I don't underrate Tebow. I'm actually a Tebow fan. But too many times last year, when Tebow would pull off an amazing victory, the highlight would start "Without a complete pass until the 4th quarter..." This is a passing league, much more so than it ever has been, and it will continue to go that way. They're even changing the rules to make it that way (QB protection for example). I like Tebow, he's an exciting player to watch, but at best he'll develop into a middle-of-the-road QB, and quite probably he'll end up better than Sanchez.

The reason I think this is such a circus is because where does the recently-extended Sanchez fit in with all of this? First the Jets want to get Peyton because they don't have enough faith in the kid, now they need to go get Tebow? I mean, surely, the Tebow thing is for highlines, ticket sales, jersey sales, and crap like that, but now, at Sanchez' first interception (and we all know we won't have to wait long for that) everyone will be begging for Tebow, which will just make the situation a whole mess. Gonna be fun to watch, especially as a Pats fan.

Finally, how will the personalities work, with Tebow, Rex, and some of the players on the Jets defense. Gonna be interesting!

Yea Goodell definitely went overboard. The bounty thing goes on all over the league. I remember about two years ago there was a big media stink about the Ravens having bounties out on Hines Ward & Roethlisberger from the Steelers. Back then Ravens all but admitted to it and shrugged off. The reasoning was it happens all over the league.

The Saints were just made an example of. If Shockey was the snitch good luck getting a new contract. He was considered a cancer to begin with. Now something like this comes out who knows what he will blab about. Locker room talk is supposed to be private and every little thing shouldn't be in the media.

Sanchez in a mental midget, so I would wager he is the first to snap.

The reason the league bent over the Saints and rammed them is because they were previously warned and carried on without listening to the league. I think it's funny that Goodell just brings the heat and chops them in two.

He set an example that will never be questioned again. Will anyone else set up a bounty program again after what's happened to the Saints? Doubt it...

Also, bringing Vick and Stallworth in to this is irrelevant. Vick served his time and I'm pretty sure Stallworth did too. Their offenses weren't related to the NFL, so once they finished their stint, why shouldn't they be allowed back in? The Saints got ripped because it had a lot to do with the NFL.

I think the Payton ban is a little harsh though.

This is gonna be a very interesting season. I have no opinion personally about the Saints and the Broncos/Jets trade. But apparently Tebow had a choice between the Jaguars and the Jets, but I wonder why he did not want to go to Jacksonville since he actually wanted to go back to Florida.

Apparently Sanchez helped or was gonna help pay the $5 Million because he wants to work with Tebow and wants to win.

Lol? Tebow will either be benched all season or fans will demand to see Tebow and they'll bend for them.

I can definitely see the fans turning on Sanchez like they did with Orton last year in Denver. Unless Sanchez tears it up from the start, I can see him being benched. Tbf, I think he needs it. He seems like a good guy, but a bit soft and comfortable. He needs to be a bit grittier and clutch.

Who is Hating? Tebow is a great human being, a heck of guy. He might even be a good football player. What he is not is an NFL Quaterback.


What Hype? He was built up as a player based on things that have nothing to do with Football by people who are in the sport of football.



There is a big difference between playing so much harder and stronger than the other team that you wear them down so they can't play as well in the 4th quarter and trying to end someone's career or season. I saw the hits on the composite tape of the Saints, they played dirty, not a tough game of football.The Saints deserved everything that happened to them and I am surprised they got to keep the Superbowl win. I am not saying it should be stripped, but I am surprised it was not made more an issue.


Anyone who supports Tebow as a QB did not watch the Bronco's all season long. The games that were won were won by the defense and the special teams, not Tebow. He had success in a Division that could have been beaten by any College Team out there, heck, the Chiefs and the Raiders would have had a tough time against Community College Teams. San Diego kept forgetting to show up to the games. So, getting in the playoffs in the AFC West in 2011 just required a team to show up. In fact, the Broncos got in the playoffs because some other team did not play well enough to win in the final week.

Yes, he improved somewhat over the season, but he will never be a starting QB in the NFL, he just does not have the skills for it. Will he be a Football Player in the NFL? Absolutely. Can he overcome his QB deficiencies? Probably. Ironically, Manning would have been the best tutor for him. But, Tebow would have been just a distraction as no team can have two active QB's and be successful.

Er yeah, Tebow is really underrated.. not. The media attention he gets, and thus fan attention since they can't seem to stop talking about this issue as if it were last season, isn't because of the way he plays Quarterback, it's his overt religious nonsense and NFL media attacking personalities that aren't uniformly idealistic (I've never seen a league or it's media so mixed up in people's personalities or behaviour modification/altering/babysitting).

Not even Randall Cunningham got this much attention for being a different style of QB, and Steve Young did because he was on a Bulls or Yankees like organization that compounded a handful of Super Bowls in a decade and change. Michael Vick got attention (from genuine fans of football who saw his style of play back in VT and knew he would be a special/entertaining NFL product) but not nearly as much until a sideshow put him in jail, but at least Vick can sometimes throw, can play in a drop-back offence, and has one hell of an arm. Tebow being put into a drop-back offence.. will be entertaining to say the least. He will have to grow up as a QB real quickly given how harsh the New York fans and media can be, and the media really need to get over the hyperbolic attention to the other sideshow [censored], it's just football.

So what's been the biggest surprise of the draft so far?

The Browns giving up 3 picks to move up one spot and get a player that would have been there anyway.

Can't watch the draft on tv right now due to satellite problems so I'm looking at the nfl site. There seems to be an awful amount of trades. Is this wheeling and dealing happening today or are these from previous trades?

The Redskins trade was a few weeks ago everything else has been today.

What a bummer. I wish my tv would work. They said another hour or two so I'm pretty much boned. I always enjoyed the trade heavy drafts.

Eh watching the draft is like watching paint dry.

Interesting first round. I am shocked that Bruce Irvin went in the first round.

Also a little disappointed that the Patriots weren't able to nab Shea McClellin. The fact that Melvin Ingram slid so far was also a surprise.
