I've run into the silver hands attacking werewolves a few times and they are hostile to me - is that intended? This happened with 2 different PCs, neither with any association with werewolves or the companions. (Actually neither of them had even been inside Jorrvaskr). I would have thought the silver hands would be neutral to anyone not associated with were-folk, but maybe that's not the case in the vanilla game anyway.

I'm partway through the main quest again. I am continuing to keep this active. I will let you know how this goes. Still no crashes or save corruption.

I ran into the angry naked people again on the path to Riverwood from Whiterun today :wink:

That's vanilla behavior. There are several Silver Hand bases in vanilla Skyrim that you can find before you join the Companions, and in both cases they still attack you.
