No Sense of Accomplishment

I guess I am a bit confused (outside of appearance or RP reasons) you would go the Left Side (Light Armor) of Smithing as it is inferior to Heavy. You miss out on the best weapons (Daedric).

Not for any RP reasons. Just..... the playstyle I'd chosen for that character was Sword&Board, Light Armor. So, of course, I did the Light Armor side of Smithing. And I crafted Elven and Glass armor to use. Yeah, not for every equipment slot (since I couldn't enchant stuff better than some of the magic gear I'd found), but I used crafted Elven and Glass gear for a good 20-25+ levels. And when I finally hit 100 Smithing, and made my Dragonscale set..... it was ugly as heck, so I went back to my Glass/Elven mix. Ah, well.

That is neither here nor there, the way the Smithing tree is set up the "tiers" of Perks only serve as Pre-requisites until you make/find the highest tier of item. It doesn't matter that I can improve Elven double. By the time naturally playing you can craft a whole set of Elven or have Elven, you probably have found better anyways or can craft something superior. I found an Elven Cuirass and some Gauntlets extremely quickly and had a Forsworn Bow that was a step up past the Elven. Even being able to improve the Elven more, my Forsworn just improved once was better. Most of my other gear slots had Enchants on them that were superior to the Light Armor stuff. It isn't like Dragon materials are hard to get either. The effect of Smithing is SO minimal through progression stages early on, it is all about end tier as you will be spending WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more time there, than previous ones.

Perhaps. All I can attest to is my experience. Again, didn't get 100 Smithing until 48. (I decided, around 44-45, that I'd finally go for Dragon stuff. So I spent a good bit of time doing Mine raids and gathering Iron/Leather/etc, and pushing those last 30 points.) Stopped playing that character at 56. So, I used either crafted, or perk-improved looted gear, for most of my play time. Hide, Leather, Studded, Elven, Glass. Don't think I ever used any Forsworn stuff - I didn't get over to Markarth until I was in the 30's.

Because I don't need Daedric gear - Glass is good enough for me.

It's becoming clear that the Elder Scrolls are written in a language you are entirely unfamiliar with.

The difference between glass and daedric is a little less than 10 percent at full development. I would like to use Daedric- in Oblvion if you could swing it it was yours- but have thief sneak bow characters and think having heavy armor would mean using perks that could be better placed elsewhere.

I like the OP title of the thread- unfullfilled. Without the previous, deeper character bullds of Morrowind and Oblvion, I can' see feeling 'fullfilled' by Skyrim. I'm very curious to see if present day fans have a change of heart after they've gone through several times.

I feel like refering to old posts.
The fact that you are bad at the game doesn't mean that what he said isn't true.
I'm the one having fun, remaining constantly challenged, and getting a sense of accomplishment from my game. So, it sounds like I'm better at playing the game than you are.
Stealthy and Warrior are opposite terms. Warriors do not hide. Warriors do not think. Warriors charge headlong into their enemy and beat them senseless with whatever blunt object may be available.
No, that is not what Warriors do. That is what Morons do. Discretion is the better part of valor. People who charge headlong into their enemies end up crushed beneath Sigmund's boots. Or thwarted at the first casting of "Summon Bigger Fish".
