I'm leaning towards the stormcloaks, can anyone sway me the

Skyrim for the Nords doesn't mean actual Nords. It just means the Men of Tamriel: Bretons, Redguards, Nords, and to some extent, Imperials (although because of the Empire, relations are not that good). The Elves are the target of their hate and for good reason. When Men first came to Tamriel, the Elves killed quite a lot of people for no provocation.

Also, many of the Elves, especially the Dark Elves and High Elves, think they're above Men. The Thalmor are an incredibly evil faction so it's understandable. Kind of like the prejudice against the German people after Hitler's regime. It's eased now after 60 years but fresh out of the war, you can understand that.

As for the Stormcloaks themselves...they're the key to having a new start. You side with the Empire, you put them on life support. The Empire is a crippled force while the Stormcloaks are in their infancy. The Empire can't do anything except slowly kill itself while the Stormcloaks have an inifinte amount of variables to grow.

to the OP first: You have to open yourself up to the history of the ES. As an Orc, you should be more self-concerned. The hell with both sides. You are your own side. IF anything , you should be looking to either one to find which can offer you more in the end. To state it plaining, orc smash, and that's about all they care about.

Ok now on to Dark: The Elves are above man. The Thalmor think they're above the Dunmer, yet most of the time, it's the Dunmer who who take the most grief from the rest of the world. Dunmer hail from morrowind, morrowind was by far the best game, magic > weapons, yada yada yada. I play a Dunmer, have since the beginning. I acutally destroyed windhelm before the empire struck. My bounty was nearing 30k before Ieft even. When I saw Ulfric in Savengrade, I was pissed. So I disabled him from the world. For the Empire.

My Dunmer raqes Glittery Unicorns, making your statement invalid.

Celan, I don't think you are fully appreciating the advantages of having an entire and extra country to pull resources and manpower from in a conflict, as opposed to not having an extra one at all. Yes, Skyrim got scuffed up. But ultimately it behooves the empire to have skkyrim back in line and can pose serious problems for the Thalmor.

the empire is all about the empire , meaning protecting Cyrodiil. they don't give a flying [censored] about the other provinces.

But you have to remember that High Rock and Skyrim aren't bordering Dominion lands. In fact, they're further from the Dominion than any province except Morrowind. The Stormcloaks have the luxury that they can get away with just about any anti-Thalmor activity because they're far, far away from the Dominion.
