My rating system is that each number is 10% of games. For example 1 out of 10 is the worst 10% of games I have ever played. For me skyrim is definitely in the top 10% of games I have played. In fact it is certainly in the top 5 games I have ever played. Therefore it is a 10 for me.

I don't believe there is any such thing as "perfection." And furthermore if such a thing as "perfection" did exist I don't believe human beings would be capable of recognizing it when it did appear. My opinion is that "perfection" is an abstract concept and, as such, should not be a factor in any serious attempt to rate or evaluate anything.

Perfection cannot be achieved in this physical world since we have the capacity to manipulate it through the power of opinion.

However...perfection is only recognizable when you become aware of the idea of perfection BEFORE labeling it as an object (anything else known such as a game, a gorgeous woman etc.) that is perfect. I did not make this up, the power of his will did through me. All credit goes to him.

Soild 8, fun to play with great environment but most questlines are too short and shallow. Also dislike the trend started with oblivion of one character capable of finishing all questlines.

A good game but it could have been better had they put some more time and thought into making the RPG mechanics better. Still a decent RPG, but it could have been great had they added more depth, more alternatives, and consequences and a reputation system that recognized you for what you had done. Now if they only fixes that in a free DLC this game can reach higher scores very fast.

It's great action game for exploration and dungeon crawling, but the poor dialogue, questlines and character stats make it a mediocre RPG.

Vanilla would get a 9.5, modded would get a 10.
There are some things that I dislike in the game, but seeing how much time I spent playing it, I know that I love it. I can overlook the flaws and concentrate on the things I like about it. And there's a lot.

Poor graphics compared to 360, horrible performance, jerky low fps, issues with audio over headsets, ridiculous amount of bugs and broken quests.

I'd give it an 8. Only RPG I'd rate higher is MW but it may be that the many excellent mods produced by the community contribute to that so in time Skyrim with mods may equal MW for me.

The game would be improved massively if the expansions added a few new weapon types with their own skill trees like spears, morning stars and shortswords. That, with a new questline with choice and consequence would be welcome.

10/10 Easily one of the best games ever made, up on the level of Red Dead and Gta.
