You do not understand Nord. Me and tool have a certain... History.

What is it with elves? they always seem to be arguing over superiority, stupid mortals...

Throughout history the race of men have prevailed over insurmountable odds despite not being the strongest or most skilled in magic. Human races have something the other races don't; that certain something.

Mojo. Humans breed like, well, humans. Humans can outlast any elven race in a war, simply because humans can pop out a new generation of warriors in 18 years. It takes elves centuries to do that. The Falmer recognized that when the Nords first landed. That is why they struck first and tried to wipe the Nords out in one fell swoop. Of course it did not work out, because there are always plenty more humans... It is like Stalin once said: "Quantity has a quality all its own."

That is my new favourite quote.

I never really answered the question.

No, Nords are above that, plus they have no reason to. They take pride in hardwork, honor, and fighting their own battles. So, there's my two cents, don't spend it all in one place!

It would indeed be ironic, but from a culture standpoint I don't think they would have. Not because of the Honor and Glory thingy, but becauce slavery was outlawed in Skyrim when Tiber Setim conquered it IIRC, if it wasn't already gone by then.
Over 600 years of not allowing slavery does something towards the attitude to it.

In saying that though slavery had been outlawed in most of Europe for centuries when Europeans set foot on Africa, African chieftans there re-introduced the idea to Europeans and slavery became widespread again. So not practicing it for a long time doesn't necessarily mean a society will never practice it again.
