The poor character customisation is the same.
The graphics are the same.
The boring itemisation is the same.
The same guy doing practically all the voice acting is the same.
The annoying glitches like getting stuck behind doors and mobs getting so close you can't hit them are the same.
The blood boiling navigation of the Pip Boy is the same.
The frustrating map where you have to remember where locations are to find it again them amongst all the other locations is the same.
Then they added the pointless crafting, pointless gambling and pointless card collecting and the pointless companions...
...oh and lets not forget the factions to add some variety and freedom of choice. Or not. They all give the same bloody quests! I don't want to kill x, so i'll go with that other faction. Oh - they want me to kill x too?! Are you for real? I'll try this faction instead... oh wow, x is really unpopular...
...and then they took away any motivation for proceeding in the game.
FO3 - Your father does a runner with a big secret and you want to find him. Ok, there i see the motivation.
NewVegas - Someone tries to kill you and fails and runs off with someone elses item. And...? He failed, so what? Who cares. He got what he wanted, end of. It doesn't make sense for them to be tracked down. Maybe if they killed a loved one, but they didn't. No motivation at all.
And then, you know what happens? You put 40 hours into a game and your just about managing to trudge without any particular aim and a quest glitches meaning that you can't continue how you wanted to. Yay. Pile of crud.
