I sincerely hope there's good werewolf stuff in Dawnguard.

Vampires vs werewolves is overdone, and not at all interesting. There's no reason for them to go out of their way to fight each other, and I'm glad Bethesda didn't go down that road with Skyrim.

It was kinda neat how they had some vampires in the Silver Hand though, kinda like a nod to that without going all in with the "vampires and werewolves hate each other just because" cliche. Maybe there'll be some werewolf characters in the Dawnguard, but that's as far as I'd care to see it go.
The SIlver Hand are not vampires. They have their dust because they most likely kill vampires. They don't even have any vampiric powers.

Remember guys the DLC may be about vampires, but don't let that be a reason to be so hostile against werewolf additions. It fits in perfectly with the dark theme. Does horse combat have anything to do with vampires? no and they are adding that, along with many other things from GameJam.

If there is no werewolf content, I will only be slightly dissapointed.

I would like the werewolf perk tree, maybe some more quests. Remember, just because the DLC is about vampires doesn't mean it has to ONLY have vampires. Anyone who has been around since bloodmoon will tell you the companions did not satisfy the werewolves.

Nothing werewolf vs. vampire or anything like that needs to be done. But there is no reason they can't have added in another small werewolf quest or two, especially considering how tacked on they feel in the main game.

All I am saying is don't automatically get hostile to people who want werewolves expanded too, we did have bloodmoon but that was 10 years ago. No reason we can't get some content too.

I think you may have nailed it... I bet the DG will welcome fleabags with open arms.

not really, the companions questline is horribly short and the ONLY other character werewolf you see in the game is sinding and someone in the DB...

the way they made werewolves they are interesting for all of 10 minutes

They are nothing more than Bandits with Silver swords. The will attack anything that moves and scream "Booger!" as they charge at it.

exactly my point, the werewolves enemy had maybe one book connected to them, otherwise it was just the fighters guild with fleas.

I really do hope there is something given to us werewolf players in this expansion (there is even evidence for it with vsions saying werewolf players had something coming)

all I really want you guys to understand is if you don't want anything to do with werewolves then you don't have to, that is the amazing thing about bethesda games. But don't let your opinion on them affect what other players may want in the game. "werewolves already got there turn" is a really bad excuse to just leave out extra content from an expansion.

I know, but I'm hoping for something nice. As it was, Skyrim itself looked vampire-centric at first--vampires were officially confirmed long before release, and werewolves were supposed to be a secret.

Before you get to Whiterun you meet the Companions, the ipso facto Fighters Guild of Skyrim. As soon as you join the companions formally, on the very first real quest you do for them, you see their guy turn into a werewolf.
Big secret.

Horse combat isn't part of the DLC. It's being added for free in the 1.6 patch.

I'd personally prefer werewolf stuff to be added in something that has more of a focus on werewolves, so it can be done with the attention and focus it deserves, and not have another repeat of where they feel tacked on and incomplete. Dawnguard will take less than a year to be developed, and it has an obvious emphasis on vampires and possibly some sub-plot involving the Snow Prince, so anything not related to that won't have as much care put towards it.

1.6 went into beta just before E3...

I'm speculating they are planning a release of dawnguard in the weeks following E3, with 1.6 riding parallel.

Horse combat was probably something they were going to have in the DLC (I mean there is a whole scene showing nothing but horse combat, why would they show that if they didn't want it related to the DLC?)
and just ended up being something they needed to test for bugs before release.

And yes I do realize we are getting it for free. But it seems pretty obvious to me that it supposed to go alongside dawnguard.

Besides, can you not see the other game jam stuff in the video? That is the point I was attempting to make: Gamejam

again I am not saying anything bad against Dawnguard, I just don't understand why the second someone asks if there will be werewolf content everybody jumps on him like "No! Shut up and wait your turn!"

if the developers want there to be a werewolf quest/perk tree in dawnguard then what is wrong with that? It's not going to prevent later werewolf expansions and its not going to affect the main story of dawnguard.

Honestly as I said before I'd be happy just getting a werewolf perk tree in the DLC, no quests or werewolf anything else just perk trees for werewolves and vampires (this DLC is the best place to introduce a vampire perk tree, so they might as well give the werewolves one at the same time).

Exactly what I was saying :) the whole dark theme set by this DLC is a great place to add in a few things werewolves wouldn't get otherwise. If they are saving them for a later DLC strictly for werewolves even better! I just don't get why so many people on this forum think that their way to play the game is the only way.

its possible that werewolves are done, but I highly doubt it. If they do not give us werewolves the perk tree in dawnguard, I think we can expect it as a later update like they did with killcams/water/kinect/horse combat.... you get the point.

No.
You already have a Werewolf faction where you go thru --spoiler spoiler-- and become werewolf.. All that, brotherhood, etc..

And vampires have -nothing- in vanilla Skyrim!
Cry about it all you want, you have your DLC which looks awsome and makes me want a vamp character, but "The Man" lol has spoken and told us that we pack members will get out own share of goodies. just be happy I mean the DLC has alot to offer for players who don't like vamps just like IF and thats a big IF they make a DLC werewolf based, I'm sure that it would still have alot to offer non wolf players, and the companions quest line had like a small handful of werewolf related quests anyway, but I'll agree that that was more than what was offered for the vampires

why do they have to include werewold stuff, because its centered round vampires. i saw a crossbow, dos this mean they gotta add new swords else melee players are gonna feel left out??

Just because the werewolves had a small questline in the beginning does not mean they should benefit from Dawnguard. There is a lot we didn't see and things that didn't tie exactly to Vampires.

What does a ice diving dragon have to do with it? How can the Elder Scroll block out the sun? I am anti-vampire in-game, and I look forward to being a Dawguard. I will also enjoy playing from the vampire's side.

I look forward to being scared in this DLC when a vampire busts through a wall... I really hope you can walk to these locations or like in Fallout take a mode of transportation. I'm not into the whole 'through new content that's in a completely new realm'.

did anyone notice the way the crossbolts are equipped on the player? The new bow you see in the video? The steel weapons being used? a new purple steed?

bethesda has released yet another Vampires VS Werewolves war. Atleast these vampires aren't sparkles and sunshine

They did add new swords. And a new axe. It is a ton of new items. Werewolf fans just want to see a little addition to their side. Yeah they get a questline, but you fight bandits with silver swords. Swords you cannot even upgrade.

Watch the next expansion Hearthfire be all about Werewolves.

The Vampire people will be here saying
"It would be cool if they'd fix or add (whatever) to vampires in this"

And we Lycans will say..

NO!
YOU SHUT UP!
YOU GOT YOUR TURN!
YOU SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH!!!

I sincerely doubt that werewolves will get thier own DLC. There are many more thing in Skyrim what deserve attention. But I expect Beth to give us the werewolf perk tree ever(maybe even in this DLC, who knows).
