Skyrim DLC Discussion [may contain spoilers]

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 4:54 am

I seem to recall the phrase used in the interviews I read was something along the lines of "it will be bigger than the Fallout 3 DLC, but smaller than Shivering Isles"
From what i have heard they said that the skyrim DLCs will feel more like big expansions and be bigger then both fallout 3s and oblivion DLCs and will have more meat on it.And it will take time, meanwhile they said they want to give us some free stuff for the long wait for expansions.

Lets hope that free stuff includes better werewolves, by adding forced transformations and making werewolves actually strong and durable.

I wish them to add boars in the game and a guild for hunters.

Long as it isn't Akavir. So sick of asian-themed everything. Burned out. Every fantasy game.

HEY!

Somebody please fill me in ASAP. Obviously, I've neither the time nor patience to sift through such a long thread, so somebody PLEASE summarize to me what's going on about Skyrim DLC and why this thread has a "Confirmed" tag.

"The surfaced rumors of Skyrim's downloadable content is officially confirmed to hold some truth. 'Dawnguard' will feature new npc's and creatures, as well as quests that shall embark the player to places such as Atmora and Vivec City."

I hate to be the Storm Cloud on your Parade, But Vivec was Destroyed by The Ministry of truth falling on it.

As much as I would like them to do something with the Vigilants of Stendarr and additions to the guilds, I would like to go to Hircine's Hunting Grounds that way Bethesda could work more on werewolves and possibly add in werebears.

The already did a Werewolf "DLC".....It was called Bloodmoon, It made its debut on TES III: Morrowind

My last 2 dlc ideas were met with extreme criticism, hopefully this one would be better.

The Dark Gamble - Maven Black Briair seeks to expand her territory beyond the rift and has created her personel thug army called the black briair legion. The Forsworn has rallied together and are stronger than ever, they hope to take back the entire reach once and for all. As the dragonborn, you should help them accomplish their quest or eradicate them.

Prince of Damnation - Molag Bal's Avatar has been summoned and his goal is to cause suffering and pain. Molag bal has created a demon dragon even stronger than Alduin and has unleashed this abomination to cause terror in skyrim. This beast do fly-bys in random locations and you also get the shout of evil once you slay this monster. Molag Bal has more plans for you however, he has summoned you into one of his sub realms and you are forced to fight one of his daedra servant called The Soul Destroyer. This would be the toughest fight you'll ever have and you would need to use all your abilities to their full potential in order to even have a chance of winning. After the battle, the avatar of Molag Bal grants you The Claw of Bal, the strongest melee weapon in the game with hax enchantments.

Outlaw Uprising - One of the Greybeards has been kidnapped by a criminal organization called The Lords of Power. They are trying to force the greybeard into teaching them the ancient shouts by torturing him. You must rescus this greybeard and fight the gang's leader, known as the Power Stealer. These guys including their leader are no joke, they had been stealing powers from powerful people for years.

1. maven blackbriar's quests would be a waste of time on the devs part because next to noone wants tobe on her side
2.molag bal is a good few sacrifices away from manifesting as an avatar again, and the idea of another dragon we have to kill feels slightly repetititve, but idk
3.the names need to be changed imo... and the idea of a greybeard, if you ever fought one, being captured and tortured sounds obscure, and the... "Power Stealers"... sound a bit too op for me to defeat on master mode... sounds fun...

like it better then the ideas i read before :)

It was an April Fools joke, there, bud. Doesn't mean Vivec Ruins are still there, but I doubt we will touch Morrowind.

And who cares if they did a werewolf DLC? They did Daedric DLC's twice before. Doesn't mean they can't do it again.

If that were the Case, Then why would there be The Isle of Vvardenfell in the Game itself?

Don't worry. Just people making stuff up about some half arsed dlc dreams...

Then How about This:

If you take to heart on What Bethesda said: pay attention to the games events, it seems the most likely option is that the Dovahkiin will have to re-light the dragon fires in the imperial city. The Aldmeri High Council is trying to destroy each of the 8 towers that dot Tamriel's landscape, the only two that remain, the Snow Tower and the Bronze Tower(Dwemer Owned), but that was lost in time with the Dwemer. If you take it by its literal name: Snow Tower; you would say High Hrothgar...but according to Dwemer texts, there is a second Blackreach underneath the southern portion of Skyrim that runs under The Throat of the World. The texts also explain that there are two entrances two this second Blackreach, one lost in Blackreach itself, and the other in the Dwemer city of Markarth.

Thus is why you find Thalmoor in this city and none other. Since the signing of The White-Gold Concordiate the Thalmoor can move freely in Skyrim...relatively free at least. If the Thalmoor succeed in destroying the Snow Tower, which for the sake of story that will probably happen, the Dovahkiin will be forced to relight the dragon fires with the Amulet of Lings. Lore suggests that when all 8 towers cease to work, reality will unfold on itself and chaos will reign and thus bring about the World Eaters return. This will force the Psijic Order to intervene and stop time and tell you to relight the dragon fires.

With some speculation, we can assume that if using an Elder Scroll creates a time wound, it is likely that there are many wounds that have been created over the years. When Martin shattered the amulet of kings and brought down the powers of Akatosh, Akatosh uses the power of time as his main entity. If shattering the amulet of kings brings forth Akatosh, Then it can be assumed that the shards are cast through the open time wounds, Then the Dovahkiin would have to travel through time with the help of the Psijic Order, who are known to be able to control time. Once the shards are reunited the Dovahkiin would then be able to light the fires, but probably not before having a final showdown with Alduin and then the Aldmeri High Council Leader after the Dragon Fires have been lit.

Who cares? They also need champions to inflict pain and suffering on "teh mortal race."

svcks that they are a bunch of modified special breed of werewolf then the true fashion of werewolf. I expected a pack of wild werewolves in the wilderness, not a bunch of mercenaries who's 99% of the leaders want themselves cured.

Thank you! I want to be a normal werewolf, and not be around a bunch of babies who complain about being one when they do not live the life a normal werewolf does.

It's clearly not. If it had been, the lead Thalmor you had to take out would have been "The Tower Destroyer," and you'd be prevented from lighting the dragon fires by "The Dowser of Flames," a necromancer who has absorbed the power of Alduin himself!

Likewise. I hope the werebear addition gives us extra quests on Lycanthropy.
