Skyrim DLC wishlist

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 4:06 pm

Okay, so apparently Skyrim DLC will be closer to the Shivering Isles than Operation Anchorage; it was said by Bethesda that the DLC packs would be "meatier".

But the question remains: what would you guys like to see in said DLC packs?

I for one would like to see some or all of the following things appear;

-Hammerfell! It is only across the border and could possibly be accessed through a mountain pass or something similar. Of course this brings with it numerous possibilities story-wise, i.e fighting the Thalmor or the Legion in Hammerfell itself. Potential for monsters is huge- Golems, Jinn, Scorpions, Rocs could feature as well as elephants (Hammerfell is a desert FYI) and I'd love to see the cities also.

-Solstheim! Could easily be recreated from Bloodmoon and isn't too far away from Skyrim plus is small. I'd like the idea of stowing away on a ship to the place, or the inclusion of sea monsters around the island such as the Norse-lore friendly Kraken.

-Oblivion! I'd like to see the ability to travel to Oblivion just as in TESIV. This naturally would bring back stuff like sigil stones. It also would add the monsters we love like the Xivilai, Daedroth, Clannfear, Spider Momma et al, which I think are sorely missing from Conjuration (I enjoyed Conjuration better in Oblivion cause it had more choice).

-Morrowind! Not Vvardenfell now, just the mainland. Am I the only one who'd like to explore the ashen wasteland of Morrowind, devoid of hope, following the eruption of Red Mountain? Of course Dunmer refugees and the Dwemer would be significant influences here, and the many creatures in TESIII could make a return (Cliff Racers!.....no). Some of mainland Morrowind also appeared in Tribunal.

-Arena! How about if you travel to the rebuilt city of Kvatch to fight in the arena, either voluntarily for glory or by force. You build a reputation for yourself, choose a name, gather riches and fame etc. and are confined to the city of Kvatch, which is highly detailed and large (think much larger than Kvatch itself as portrayed in TESIV, as it is 200 years in the future- think slums and suburbs, and very impoverished due to the many wars in Cyrodiil) the is potential there for quests involving the Thalmor also.

Most of the above are pretty far fetched but the ones below, IMO are realistic enough.

Mini-hopes:

-More monsters (Broken Steel did this for FO3 without breaking the game) I want Minotaurs, Goblins, Ogres and Land Dreughs!
-Expansion of Bards College
-Expansion of marriage (only one wife?)
-Ability to become a Lich would be great
-Werewolves need a lot of expansion
-hardcoe mode
-Ability to set up businesses (I know this is sort of in the game with regard to the marriages); I'm thinking of buying mines or farms (considering there seem to be a lot of them pointlessly about) meaderies or camps to act as hunting businesses. Mercantile-slanted characters need a bit of expansion. I remember drooling at the resource (stock) exchange mod for Oblivion back in the day.
-More rare artefacts (not Daedric) that take a huge deal of spelunking and killing to get.
-Am I the only one who wants to see Daedric Lava Whiskey make a return?
-More spells, particularly in Destruction and the summoning part of Conjuration.
-New weaponry (I mean, two hundred years of war since Oblivion and no advancement in weapons?)
-Guild quests after you become leader (I'm thinking leadership struggles between you and other members who don't want you to become guild master)

So what would you guys like to see?

and horse armor.

Ironically something I really want

Really want the 3D character viewer to come back so I can see what my character looks like with certain armours etc. in the inventory, like in Oblivion.

A resolution to the civil war (either way) but most importantly The PC gets named Jarl of Whiterun. It has the best castle IMO and I wants to live there.

A Jarl expansion would be nice, and a expansion with a new small or maybe just a part of a province. War against the Thalmor, just give me a bow one arrow and point me at the summerset isles. AND I WOULD LOVE TO SEE KVATCH AGAIN, but didnt like your idea, why would it be big just cause its in the future? and a area, never heard of one in Kvatch.

I would love to be the Emporer also but I do not want to be dissappointed by things "I" do as Emporer after the events of Skyrim unfold.

Because it could be swollen by war refugees, or in general it could have developed significantly since the Oblivion Crisis- 200 years ago. Plus it was large in the first place- it had a large arena.

Definetly something where the dragonborn becomes a jarl, and a house to reflect his/her status... In oblivion you got a castle and some guards which seemed appropriate for your character, or even the house in skingrad seemed more grand, the houses in skyrim seem mediocre at best for someone of the dragon blood......or maybe im a snob

nice but I prefer new lands over revisits, and I think I heard somewhere that Bethesda does too... Not sure, thought.

The ability to become a dragon. I mean, you're dragonborn<-----(dragon in a mortal body)

you should be able to somehow take your true form and have epic air battles with other dragons, have a cave or a mountain top all to yourself, snack on mamoths, send bandits into orbit with a flick of your tail and so on.

Yeah! I would love to travel to another land! And the idea of buying businesses kinda like in fable would be kinda cool. Also the idea of having another wife is kinda tempting, but at the same time not really. Also, I think that with them always having daedric quests and artifacts, they should have quests for the 9 divines. Talos, namely, should have quests against the Thalmor, as opposed to just a few divine quests. And also, we should have more enchantments. I personally would like an enchantment that allows you to remove enchantments from equipment without destroying the armor.

Absolutely not. I would love to go to Atmora, if it were able to be found. Many a fight to be found there :gun:

no, Atmora would be fantastic especially with all the lore behind it, or Yakuda either one.

Divorce / Polygamy

Perhaps an arena battle between the Daedric Princeses to decide where you go when you die. You know, since you kinda get bound to several different ones.

Flesh out the College quests perhaps. <--Add craft-able spells.
-It's sad to think you can show up at the door one day and be the Arch Mage within a couple of days vs the other teachers/students already there.

I agree with the 3d Model Viewer in the inventory by EggyBaby above.

Edit : A house / castle / livable ruins with storage next to the various crafting stations.

Solstheim, hands down.

Problem is that its pretty similar to continental Skyrim, although it would be good for nostalgia I suppose.

TBH, Solstheim offers little in the way of diversity (Falmer, werewolves, meadhalls, trolls, mountains, forest, tundra, sound familiar?) , which is why I proposed the naval spin on it (I like Krakens  they could climb on the boat and stuff when you damage them enough, like when dragons crash when they take damage) with pirates and seabattles and stuff.

It is similar. There just always seem to be people who want Bethesda to recreate a former world and Solsteim would probably be just enough for them to bring back up to speed, without too much trouble.

Guess I just really want another round of Mead at Thirsk. :foodndrink:

And I agree, a naval aspect would be very interesting and certainly breathe new life into the island.

It's also worth mentioning that I would really like to see Umbra again. I was pretty bummed they didn't include him/it into Skyrim, as they did Morrowind and Oblivion.
