Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 11:45 pm

it works if you have a fast internet connection, but those of us who don't it buffers for 8 minutes and then plays for 2 seconds constnatly, it's unwatchable.

The biggest problem I had making the video was actually that there was even more stuff that I didn't have time to show. The team is pretty amazing at making stuff, that's for sure.

PM me the rest? :P

The lycanthropy skill tree would be a great addition. Along with it it would be cool if the unarmed skill tree was added.

The vampire lords look awesome! Mounted combat and spears!

If this was added onto a dlc I would easily pay $20 for it.

To Beth staff, I'm enjoying the CK, I also found the video enlightening, If I wanted to get into game dev I'd want to join you guys. Those dlc Ideas are cool and I would love them, however I think putting extra power into the hands of modders would definitely be a huge boon, like for example, editing Actor values, so we can make skills. *wink* *wink* :)

Hmmmm what I am wondering is what shown in the Game Jam can be created with the Creation Kit atm, and what has to be DLC (if any of it makes DLC).

A lot of it seemed to require access to the games code at least a little bit. Especially the mounted combat and such.
Most can be made in CK, moving platforms are in the game, paralyze runes is already in mods,
Spears was pretty much like the spears in Oblivion craftybits.
water arrows is an enchanted arrow, giant mudcrap should be easy. mounted combat is probably the hardest here.

Not only was the game jam video AMAZING, but it was nice to get a bit of an insight into the way the game was put together. Especially the stuff about not making the horses too important cuz I hadnt thought about it that way(used to be my biggest complaint, now it makes sense). I strongly encourage everyone to watch the whole video from DICE, it was eye-opening for me. . .
My fave point was the creating your own house in the wilderness, the flaming horse thing, mounted combat, and dragon mounts!! Thanks Beth, even if none of it makes it into the dlc, the video was entertaining, is nice to see that you guys like to play with your own product!!

I loved the season change! When it's winter it's difficult to find food and in summer you have to prepare for the winter. In that way you can feel if a year has gone by. Also I'm undecided on where to live. Cold place or a warmer place. So it would be great with the season change in skyrim.

I really want it now....

As great and awesome as the game jam was (please give us everything! ), I really liked the rest of the speech. The gameplay illustration with a scene from Dead Island was pretty impressive. Since I study Business Administration it was also cool to have a general insight into the corporate structure (culture, communications etc.) and organisation at gamesas. I would love to see more, it is really interesting to see how you guys work.
In fact my bachelor thesis was about integrated communications and I believe that this is the most important thing for every company. From what Todd told us they have a very good working atmosphere where everyone can identify with his work and problems are openly discussed ("admit your msitakes"). This really shows in the game, and, to get back to topic, the game jam is another proof of this.

Okay, that was truly amazing and fun to watch. I love some of the idea's you guys have come up with and I cant wait to see some content in DLC (hopefully)
I hope gamejams happen more often on your part cause it seems real great for your creativity. Also, I'm surprised nobody mentioned the seasons. That was truly awesome!
