SKYRIM IN HDMI!

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 10:39 am

HOLY %&#(!!! I just got a new TV ( I play on PS3) and before that, I was using a computer monitor. Yesterday I got an HDMI LED TV with 1080p and WOW!!! I can't belive the difference. It was like a whole new game to me. So much detail I have missed out on. Thought it was great before but now phenominal!!!

LOL @ anyone who thinks HDTV is just a "fad" to get people to buy new, expensive TVs.

Now you know why everyone was upset at the graphics at launch and how Bethesda scrambled like eggs to patch it. :)

Glad they did. I love the scenery in this game. Even the sounds help immerse me in the game. Really, how often do any of you pay attention to the chirping birds? :P

Okay, maybe not a fad, but an unnecessary option?

I can't count the number of people who claim they see no difference in visual quality.

I've been playing in HDMI on my PC since Fallout: New Vegas. I'll never go back to SD.

I hope we see an advancement in TV resolution in the next few years, we have been at 1920x1080 for a while now, while computer monitors can be much higher resolution. I personally like having 5760x1080.

Imagine a world where you can rent movie theater rooms and play Skyrim on that huge screen. Mindfreak.

I don't really think a higher resolution for TVs is needed anytime soon. Remember, the console games of this generation usually run at 1280x720 (including Skyrim), so 1920x1080 is hardly used yet from a game point of view. Not to mention that the resolution of TVs is much less of importance compared to monitors because people tend to sit much further away from TVs.

Awesome dude! I have been playing since day one on a PS3 with a 55" HDTV. Looks beautiful. I have a good 7.1 surround sound system too (definitive technology speakers). The sofa shakes when dragons land or giants walk and you can tell where everything is by the sound. The game is so amazing on a big HDTV with surround.

i don't use the 7.1 as the kids are sleeping.

but yeah, 55" and a CMOY amp and some good Sennheiser HD280.

I turn the music off and now when a dragon swoops down on me I damn near [censored] myself...
