If you really believe that you need to watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOUCDIP9uV0. We were all cheated.
That was worked on afterward of Skyrim's release. where everyone got to work on whatever they wanted for a week. without Todd telling them we're not putting this in. or don't work on that.

Not that much, it had Spell Creation and that's it. Aside from that it was a convoluted concept of using Weakness and Damage to kill everything. Better than Skyrim I would say, but far from a good system.

No way, skyrim took each school of magic, gives you 5 spells in each school, and says "Here ya go kids, have fun, but we'll make up for the shallowness of the system by letting you dual wield the spells." The spell creation would have been nice IF they would have left it in WITH the dual casting...simple addition...like they say, if it ain't broke, dont fix it...

Too right, Spears, meh, couldn't care less, but stealth enhancement's, interactivity with scenery, dark dungeons, build your own home, goblins, dragon mounts.... My god, my life would literally fade away as I grew more and more addicted lol.

Yeah, it took them one week, to make the game 100% better. Apparently Todd is holding Bethesda back!

Nope, but this has nothing to do with the OP, just his title statement.

I don't think it fits this thread... But anyway... Yes, it's possible. (IMHO)

They had a date to deliver the game and couldn't work on anything aside essential features.

If you read it, you would have seen that he was being somewhat "ironic" whit his statement.

New Vegas world design was inferior, a vast land of emptiness that offers a dead brahmin as a POI. The weapons are also extremely unbalanced compared to Fallout 3 due to DT. It makes most guns pointless and sniper rifles are the ONLY choice at highest difficulty end-game.

However the dialog was a riot. Especially with Yesman or very low INT players. Having Low INT is an extremely poor build choice in Fallout series, but in this case, the dialog totally makes up for it.

Everyone got to work on there own personal gameplay features for one week. not things that needed to be there to make the game work. the only things that we saw are gameplay features and graphical enhancements.

I didn't play it with mods, but I couldn't get out of the tutorial in Morrowind.

Fallout New Vegas was lackluster for me until the DLCs, when I started seeing more nuances. It still rates behind Skyrim because of setting.

I have to say Skyrim is WAY better then Oblivion (after playing Morrowind i discovered how horrible Oblivion was) but i think Skyrim is comparable to Morrowind even better because it comes close to the amount of depth that Morrowind had.

But lets be honest Morrowind was made in the 90's it had to have supurior plot because they lacked in graphics.

You answered your own problem...your expectations were high for skyrim and low for morrowind. You weren't disappointed with morrowind because you didn't expect anything from it and simply played the game...not to mention you were drinking ;)

This sums up most people's problems with skyrim..they expect too much and criticize the whole time they play instead of simply playing the game and enjoying what it has to offer

i remember Morrowind getting roundly slated on the old boards when it was first released, then people moved on to slating Oblivion. The next TES game will get slated, it's just the way of the world.

In 10 years time people will be commenting that they no longer make games like Skyrim.

Finally, someone with intelligence.

Problem is that most of us have enjoyed what it has to offer. But what it has to offer has run out quite quickly for a lot of us. You can only find random quirky things in the world so much until you realize you're not going to find anything that goes any deeper than the 5 seconds of interest those things have.

The limited variety in dungeons (both in actual type and the enemies present) will only keep the interest so long until you find it all too repetitive to bother going in any more of them.

Quests were okay for what they were, but one can only play so long before they realize the quest lines are drastically short. One can only do side quests for so long until they lose interest because they're all just the same thing with different coats of paint.

And so on. People don't harp on about what they liked about Skyrim because what they liked should be a given to anybody.

Have to disagree with ya there chief. I am not quite sure how DT makes the game unbalanced. You have tried to use different ammo types, right?
I even managed to make a playthrough with nothing but This Machine (purely for RP reasons) and never, ever had the need for those big, ugly and bulky anti-material rifles.

If anything, it's no different to any weapon in F3 where I could heckle a supermutant brute to death with a 10mm SMG (tested). And don't even get me started on Harkness' ridiculous "I win" plasma rifle.

But enough of thread intrusions, that's off-topic enough I guess

I said that?

The point that was made was "essential features."

Marriage, if it was an "essential feature" is about as deep as a sweat drop on your hand.

And the fact that it was included, when several other things were removed or are badly implemented/balanced, is well...

Again, how did I "act like it?"

Person said:

No time for anything other than essential features.

I said:

Like marriage? And then laughed my butt off.

How does that "act like" there is nothing else to do than main quest and guilds?
