So if you neglect Energy Weapons for half the game and pick up a Gauss Rifle, you will have some pretty swervy aim. As with STR requirements, you can still use the weapon if you don't meet the requirement, but you're really ineffective with it.
That is excellent. That is a much better way to prevent low level characters from using over-powered weapons than Fallout 3's condition scaling. It felt really artificial...like the much hated loot scaling from Oblivion.
This is the first I've heard that there will be skill requirements for weapons as well as attribute requirements. Now, if weapon skill also affected how quickly you can reload a weapon I'd be really happy...
