Can i use one of those visa birthday cards to make a purchase?

If by visa birthday card you mean a pre-paid credit card, then yes. Just make sure you activate it on their website first.

Yes, but SAVE IT. If you ever need to prove that you are the owner of a Steam account, they are going to want the number from the card you used for purchase. I've heard lots of stories of people unable to recover their steam account because they used only pre-paid visas and couldn't provide the numbers.

If it's a gift card, I'm pretty sure you can. Everything I have bought on Steam has been with Visa gift cards.

I had to do it via my PayPal account when I used one (link the card to PayPal, purchase through PayPal), but that's not a big complication. Got a debit card now, though, so its easier and cheaper - the result of which is that I'm more likely to waste money on games :D.

That's a good deal. Lucky for me I have my good old "I hate digital distribution and wont buy anything on Steam that's over $5 or $10" argument to fall back on. :whistling:

Steam Midweek Madness:
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4454/ 17€/$18.70

Includes Crusaders: Kingdom Come and King Arthur - The Roleplaying Wargame.

The latter alone would be worth those bucks in my opinion. Really nice mix of fantasy RPG and the Total War kind of gameplay.

http://www.tandtdailydeals.com/

Now hear me out about this deal. The website looks shady, but 3 deals like this have been posted on the Cheap Ass Gamer forums and it's totally legit. Every time a deal is posted a bunch of people try it and get some pretty decent games, my memory is fuzzy but I recall one person getting The Witcher, one getting Mercenaries 2, and a bunch of other decent games. They don't just send you 3 Barbie Horse Adventure games, trust me. Of course you wont be getting some super new AAA titles. After seeing 3 deals and other people have success I'm going to get it. The deal is $3 but there's $5 standard shipping no matter where you are, so it's really $8. Still, it seems worth it.

If anyone does buy this I would use Paypal, the site is legit but better safe then sorry.

I found some of the threads I was talking about, and here are some of the games people got:

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261117&page=2

"I received chronicles of riddike, saints row 2, Igor, and wait for it OMG high-school 3 pack."

"MLB Front Office Manager and Gothic 3 Forsaken Gods"

http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259948

"My 2 packs are in, here's what I got: Frontlines Fuel of War, Gothic 3, Chronicles of Riddike Assault on Dark Athena, Mercenaries 2, MotoGP08, Igor the Game"

The third thread was deleted as they delete their old threads every so often like Bethesda does.

But yeah, it definitely seems worth the risk of getting it, as nobody got a bad game without getting a decent or good one.

Anyone ever play Aion before? Saw it on Steam last night and I want to see if it's interesting story-wise (or quest-wise) because so far, all I have seen is PvP which looks great to me.

There was a thread that basically just tore that game apart around here not too long ago. I'd read some reviews. Maybe play a free trial?

I tried the demo a while ago, the battles have a nice twist with control points which give you bonuses and all but it just couldn't hold my attention long enough to finish the demo.
