http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_kilt

No idea how accurate that is but the article claims the Scots picked up kilt wearing from Norse settlers.

Youre link says the "Name" Kilt have Scandinavian origin. Scotlland have much Scandinavian history from the Vking age.

The kilt were never used by men in Scandinavia at the Viking age as i know of. No historical finds proves it. And nothing i rember from it in the Sagas. All grave founds of Vikings were with normal clothes for leg. Don`t know the English word for it. "Jeans" maby? Men with kilt in Scandinavia would freeze theyre [censored] of. Not like warm Scottland.

I think it's awesome. I'm glad they haven't given them all lame horned helmets like "Dovahkiin".

The only ting, that I'd change: I think, that the chainmail and leather torso should look more hi-fi(to fit the helmet)!

And I'm against high-fantasy!

It's got this Norse meets Greek look that makes me think of the Varangian Guard.

I thought it looked sick since we saw it in the E3 demo. It's just the http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/3/38/Riften_Guard.png I don't like. The scales look odd that color.

Blue really fits for me (not just because blue is my favorite color) but also it reminds me a bit of the woad that Britons and Picts would use. I'm REALLY glad its not orange: I'd either think of the rebel factions from Warcraft II or the Netherlands during WWII >.>

I also believe the necklace he is wearing is an Amulet of Talos http://www.flickr.com/photos/47857688@N08/6286089851/in/photostream which suggests the rebels are indeed fighting for Talos in some manner. I am still joining up with the Imperials though.
ooh. maybe. that'd be cool.

thoughts?
It's very nordic, I like it. A lot of the armors are going to have extreme nordic influence, so if you don't like this, you might be in trouble.

has a nice Viking/Anglo Saxon look to it that makes it look great. I can't wait to join the faction when the game comes out.

I like it *shrug* The Stormcloaks are rebels, so something rougher makes sense. It will doubtlessly look slightly different in game.

I don`t like the Armor. I don`t understand those who say it looks Norse.

This is more acurate Norse Armor upon clothing:
