Strange Encounters #2

What I found South across the water and slightly East of Geirmund's Hall on top of a rocky hill was a barrel encased in bones and adorned with skulls that had a nest on top of it. Nearby were ash piles that contained chicken briasts. Undead chickens?
OK, I just found this spot and there was definitely some unsavory $*** going on there. :o A Novice Necromancer attacked me and then I found the ash piles with chicken briasts in them and there was one chicken walking around with the blue aura around it common to thralls. :P

Holy crap. What difficulty level? Master? Did any of the bears have a green kinda' glow on them? There could've been Spriggans around, but still...
Expert, and no spriggans to be found around the first attack or the one at riften. Just a group of very angry bears and a very scared riften guard. I managed to save him, and I like to think he sits down with his wife and daughter and tells them about the time he was saved by a nord breathing fire.

Ha! I must have missed the Necromancer. Probably Marcurio one-shotted him/her and I never stumbled upon the corpse. Glad I'm a vegetarian in game, and didn't loot them. :P

I was out hunting nirnroot and luna moths last night, and had been attacked by sabrecats, crabs and slaughterfish. No surprises there. But as I was clambering up a hill in search of more moths, I heard the chilling sound of deer or elk calling. I crouched down and saw two deer running, but saw no pursuers. I also had two red dots on the compass which converged... on me! These deer attacked me and there were no spriggans controlling them. It was just as we were warned in that old South Park episode. "He's coming right at us! Shoot him!"

Hey, so am I! :foodndrink: Kyne's Peace is my most popular shout.

...which is why it's pretty darn icky that I'm currently walking around with five decapitated witches' heads in my inventory. I do hope that someone takes them off my hands soon!

There's a Spriggen Matron NW of Riften (west of the fort). If you get to close too her lair she sends multiple bears and/or saber cats after you. They are not like other creatures who will give up chase. They seem to lock on to you and keep following you. Moving over rocks can get them stuck, though. I have had them follow me all the way to Riften where the guards helped me dispatch them.

Oh, and the Matron only follows so far from her lair...

:( Are there even 5 werewolves in game that are willing to be cured??? Hope you are on PC?

I had a cool encounter today where I was running at the top of some snowy mountain and an Ancient Dragon landed in front of me and just looked at me. It's probably a bug, but it was cool how its head followed me and it just watched me until I ran off. Maybe it had decided to follow Paarth? :P

Kodlak, Vilkas, Farkas, and Player, but not a fifth because as I understand it Aela doesn't want to be cured. So you get one to keep as a trophy...although none of mine ever get removed from inventory as I cure them.

I found the only way to get them out of my inventory is to only pick them up one at a time, do the quest for it, then go back to Glenmoril for every werewolf after that. I think Isch may be stuck with them if they can't removeitem with the console. Ew...

I'd like to see this little vignette properly, so hope it resets at some point.

I had one of my followers summoned fire atronach attack her. I don't know what happened but I think the game glitched. She summone it directly on a drauger who was actively attacking her. I killed the drauger but her atronach kept shooting her with it's fire attack.

There are specific ones that'll come after you like thugs and they have a similar note on them from someone sending them after you. Seems Necromancers don't like the idea of their boss being permanently dead.

Funny thing, one of them is a Dunmer, and his first battlecry is something like 'Die, you damned Azura worshipper!', and all the other battlecries are generic Dunmer bandit Azura worshipping battlecries like "Azura guide me' etc.

I was traveling west on the road from Riverwood to Falkreath, alongside the lake, when I saw somebody mining. It was a Vigilant of Stendarr mining an iron deposit near the lake shore. He was alone, so I suppose it takes two vigilants to stalk Daedra, lol.

Mostly when you see just one, look around a bit, there should be a dead one close by. Killed by a mudcrab in your case most likely....

I was in a Necromancer lair today and some Draugr were striking mineral deposits with their swords and axes.

I've met this guy too a while back, although I'm not sure about the place. He was digging at a silver mine. No dead Vigilant to be discovered in the neighbourhood, as far as I've seen.
