I had a trapper attack me today because I let the wolf she had trapped out. I ran off and she followed me, but then a bear killed her. :P

Walking around north of Riften. There were a couple trolls up to no good, attacking smaller animals. But before catching up to them (they were galavanting down the road away from me) there was an elk... It comes walking right up to me, I get the "Elk" and health bar at the top of my screen like he's an enemy.. He stares at me for a moment (and he's really close at this point).... Then turns around and walks away, the "Elk" and health bar for enemy goes away and it's done. I'm thinking I got lucky and maybe that Elk decided to spare me.

You did get lucky on that one. He was probably gonna' sell your flesh in Markarth and make a Steel Warhammer grip with your skin. :o

I wonder if he was under the spell of a Spriggan and it wore off.

Da bear! Da bear on his head! If possible, he'd have a wedge of cheese there. Never misunderestimate the cunning of the Thalmor!

He did manage to fool a Stormcloak for a little bit... until I shot him in the head.

If that's Forelhost (and I think it is) that's what he was wearing when I approached and then had the heavy Imperial Armor when I came out while he was conning some other svcker into going in. I was suspicious when I met him and sure when I came out. :P Are those disguises standard or is what he wears random?

He wears the SC officer's outfit, if you've joined the SC's at the start or have joined the SC in the CW, and the other way around if you've joined the Imperial. And will be wearing the other when you come out.

Ji.... I've never joined either one lately. He ALWAYS is in imperial armor when I go in, and SC when I come out (because he's trying to con some SC schmuck....)

Hmmm. I might have to try that on the current toon - I can't SEE in that place, so daylight would work really well for me....

I was meandering about in the Reach when I came across this tiny little cave called Purewater Run. I poked my head in and didn't see much of anything at first, just two Nirnroot plants, a Quicksilver vein and some random fish swimming around, but then I pulled up the local map and saw I'd missed a spot. I strode towards it and suddenly found myself tripping into a water pocket, staring down at two baleful-looking slaughterfish who were guarding... Dwemer ruins? Yep, two Dwemer chests and a rather large elongated golden head that looked like it could be a coffin of some sort. It made me wonder who was the mysterious Dwemer who had demanded that he be buried at the top of a mountain instead of deep down in the depths of the earth. Seems like he'd probably been a pretty chill dude.

Hmm. Maybe it's random if you haven't joined either because I haven't joined a side on my chick yet and hadn't come across Forelhost on my dude on which I've finished MQ and CW.

If you haven't joined a side, he may just be psychic enough to know who you followed out of Helgen. I haven't joined a side, and he was in Stormcloak gear for me, and I followed the Stormcloak guy out of Helgen. My last character got Imperial, and it was the character who followed the Imperial.

That's probably it. I followed the Stormcloak guy out of Helgen on my 2nd character.

Couldn't take a screenie, but I just saw a stormcloak courier run across me and get on the lift in the Blackreach.
I had similar moment happen to me...

After completing Namira's quest, I slaughtered all those filthy cannibals. Whilst reveling in my bloody victory a stormcloak courier runs in. Now just think about the scene he has walked in on. Several dead bodies slumped around a dinner table, which has human flesh on all the plates, an obvious sacrificial altar in the background, and to top it all off, a blooded, crazed looking Dunmer standing on top of the table with his sword drawn.

He starred at me for a few moments, then I imagine though to himself "Well, nothing to see here!" and bolts back the way he came. I chased him down, killed him, then dragged him to where the other bodies lay. I like to imagine this scene is later discovered by someone and they decide to Stormcloaks are advocates of daedra worship and cannibalism! Muahahaha.

Here is one that happened just now: I'm at the point of Ill met by the moonlight where Sinding, myself, and 'ole Ghorbash Iron Hand are taking out the first group of hunters. I land the supposed-to-be finishing blow on Trasuna with the Mace of Molag Bal, the force of the blow decapitates her... HOWEVER, she gets back up and continues fighting us without a head! Her heath bar is half full, yet we battle for a good 2-3 minutes before it actually starts going down. Finally she crumples over, and I just stare at her body in horror as Ghor and Sinding run off to face more hunters.

That headless horseman and horse ghost.

I was splashing around in the water and I saw the blue spectoral horseman. I fell down a waterfall trying to chase after him, by the time I got up to the top he was gone. I really wanted a good look at this guy! That's the only time I've ever seen him!

No word on where his journey starts but his destination is Hamvir's Rest. He apparently travels through The Reach to get there, and I've seen him as far southwest as Markarth but I'm also pretty darn sure I've seen him in Falkreath, just past the falling rock trap that bandits have rigged not far from Falkreath's capital.

Also apparnetly he interacts with his surroundings, commenting on enemy deaths by saying "Finality...." or something and if he doesn't reach Hamvir's Rest before dawn, he says "Such an end to our game."

And it's worth noting that it's hard to keep up with him without a horse, unless you sprint constantly and spam the Whirlwind Sprint. Presumably he makes the trip out to Hamvir's Rest every night, but not sure if it's from where he last left off or the same spot every time. In any case, it's kind of sad. >:

I would guess he has a chance to spawn on any road at night. Traveling along the roads at night will mean you will eventually see him. Although one day I did see him sitting on his stationary horse in the graveyard near Dustman's Cairn (not too far from Whiterun), and he remained there without doing or saying anything until I got bored and went on my way.

Edit: Oh, that cemetery is called Hamvir's Rest as Gallarialchiban said. :P

The other night I came upon an Emperial patrol with a Stormcloak prisoner in the Reach. They left the road, walked into the river, traversed the breadth of the river underwater and came out on the other side with all their torches still burning. Whoops!
I don't know what passes for fair treatment of prisoners of war in Skyrim, but I'd complain if I were the Stormcloak guy.

Also, nothing special but a nice touch; you know the old Orc who wants you to give him an honorable death? I killed him at the very start of my game (and put some blue mountain flowers by his body - I'm soppy like that), and 240 hours of play later I passed by his body and there are two Vigilantes of Stendarr kneeling by him and praying. Fair dues, I suppose.

Oh wow.. I can't give a screeny, because I own the console version, but the Jarl Balgruuf just glitched through his bed, out of his bedroom, and back into his throne. He's still spazzing out as I type this.

Ummm... Help anyone? :l

My Dunmer Battlemage was traveling between Bonestrewn Crest and Mistvale Keep. I saw movement coming down of a nearby hill and saw someone sprinting toward me very fast. He attacked me ferociously as soon as he was close enough.

After he was dead I saw he was a Dark Elf wearing full steel plate (minus the helmet), was named (appropriately) "Dark Elf" and was dual wielding...IRON DAGGERS!? He didn't have a contract or Bounty note on him, so I had no idea where he came from or why he attacked me. Weird!
