What does your skse.log file say?

I think I already posted it, but this is what's in skse_loader.txt :
skse loader 01040020 01CCC0D40ABEE12F
procPath = D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\TESV.exe
launching: TESV.exe (D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\TESV.exe)
dwSignature = FEEF04BD
dwStrucVersion = 00010000
dwFileVersionMS = 00010003
dwFileVersionLS = 000A0000
dwProductVersionMS = 00010003
dwProductVersionLS = 000A0000
dwFileFlagsMask = 00000017
dwFileFlags = 00000000
dwFileOS = 00000004
dwFileType = 00000001
dwFileSubtype = 00000000
dwFileDateMS = 00000000

main thread id = 2864
hookBase = 001C0000
loadLibraryAAddr = 74C649A7
hook thread complete
launching

I have two text files, the one above and skse_steam_loader.txt :
skse loader 01040020 (steam) 01CCC0D40AC0B5F6

^^ Yah at this point I'd go bring that up with the SKSE people then, that second file you posted has a lot more info then that in mine for instance from the last run:
skse loader 01040020 (steam) 01CCC0BFBC061A0Dbase addr = 72150000GetSystemTimeAsFileTime IAT = 0120E1D4original GetSystemTimeAsFileTime = 766E34D9patched GetSystemTimeAsFileTime = 72152340InstallHook: thread = 896 retaddr = 01124D91appPath = C:\skyrim\TESV.exedwSignature = FEEF04BDdwStrucVersion = 00010000dwFileVersionMS = 00010003dwFileVersionLS = 000A0000dwProductVersionMS = 00010003dwProductVersionLS = 000A0000dwFileFlagsMask = 00000017dwFileFlags = 00000000dwFileOS = 00000004dwFileType = 00000001dwFileSubtype = 00000000dwFileDateMS = 00000000dwFileDateLS = 00000000version = 00010003000A0000steam exedll = C:\skyrim\skse_1_3_10.dllold winmain = 00782090OnHook: thread = 896calling winmainreturned from winmain (0)

I can also though confirm that all the version values etc in the first file are a match to what I see in mine as well. There's also a skse.log file which looks like it contains references during the loading of the plugins themselves.

If you don't have a skse.log, you're doing something wrong. This file will log the loading of plugins.

I think I already posted it, but this is what's in skse_loader.txt :
Just to be sure, delete both skse.txt and skse_steam_loader.txt and see if they still look the same when they're re-created when you run it again (As Administrator).

I have no skse.log file so this means that skse is not loading TESVAL.dll from the plugin. I'm gonna start over and get this [censored] worked out. I'll be back later to report.

I must say I'm impressed with is modification. I'm running a Core i7 2600K (stock) and a GTX 580 (stock). I'm running the game at 1920x1080 on Ultra with 8x AA + FXAA (8x TRSS), 16x AF (high quality through Nvidia CP), FOV 90, ugrids=7, and basic self shadowing options and render grass further tweaks. Without it in Markarth I would get 22 FPS looking at the tower over the blacksmith. With this mod I get 30 FPS. I also did a benchmark test (through FRAPS) run through the city trying to mimic my movements, not super accurate but still useful. Without I had min. 20 FPS and avg. 48.638 FPS and with the mod I had min. 27 FPS and avg. 53.453 FPS. I'll have to check other areas to see how much it helps out, but any bit is awesome. Hopefully Bethesda will go back and optimize for a patch sometime soon.

You ****ing made my day guys with that thread. Thanks a lot.

Removing Skyrim HD - 2K Textures mod and adding this plugin made the thing works much smoother.

OMG... this is unbelievable...

Even on my lousy rig in sig i gained about 7 fps from the view from the top of Dragonsreach overlooking the town square, FPS went up from a horrible 21 fps to 28 fps from that same view!!!

Markrath has become playable from 20 fps to about 30 fps overlooking the many waterfalls!!!

This is simply unacceptable Bethesda... a modder has done what you should've done in the 1st place... shame...I've actually forced my Skyrim to update to the latest version so that the plugin would work lol... totally worth it for the FPS boosts and native LAA now...

can anyone help or just give me a nod ive done this correct.
i downloaded skse. dropped the loader.exe and 2 dll files into skyrim folder. then i created skse folder in data folder. and then created a plugin in folder inside the skse folder.
then launch the game using steam loader or whatever its called.... except at first i get a error not working with a black scren box pop up then the game launches!!

Almost there, you need to put the TESVAL.dll( located in the TSEVAL mod folder) into the "Plugin" folder then launch the game from the SKSE launcher.
If you don't run it from the SKSE launcher then you will get no improvement.

EDITED: To name the correct dll file from the correct version of the mod.

Uh....no! You need to put the TESVAL.dll into the skyrim\data\skse\plugins folder and start the game with the SKSE loader. The dinput8.dll seemingly only works with cracked versions of the game and maybe with the original TESV.exe before the Steam DRM update. IF you use this dll you need to put it into the skyrim root folder and not into the skse\plugins folder.

Guys, I'm bad with this so I would appreciate any kind of help.
I'm currently on hold about skyrim update. Forced Steam not to update to 1.3.10 version, still on 1.3.7.
I have only 2GB in my computer.
Would updating to 1.3.10 ruin my game, like get alot of CTD or some other problems? Because I saw this thread about FPS increase, I would really like to try this to increase my perfomance, but I can't without this new update.

Don't worry about it. The LAA just gives the game the option to try and use more memory, it'll still respect what your system actually says is available. You may seriously want to look at increasing that quantity though, ram is ridiculously cheap at the moment.

I don't have a TESVAL.dll. It wasn't in the version I downloaded from the link posted this morning.
In fact, the only file in the TESVAL zip I got was the dinput8.dll

I just updated this morning to latest Steam patch and the version of the TESVAL file is named TESVAL-1.3.10.0-2011-12-22.
I was running the day one Steam patch before that, 1.1 I think it was.

So if he download the same file I did he will not have a TESVAL.dll either.
Maybe Arisu can verify exactly what should be in his zip file?

Specifically if you're using 32-bit Windows, which you probably are, you need to actually change the boot options if you want LAA to do anything at all.

You're using the old version, not the version I linked in my original post, not the version linked in the thread I linked. That version will cause crashes in 99% of cases because it's compiled ignoring Steam encryption with 1.3.10 (which most everyone has).

The latest version is TESVAL.dll and is a SKSE plugin.

They very well should be. Getting this into the code on their end is as simple as ticking a few checkboxes in the compiler.

Definitely props to the modders who made this. I could instantly tell the difference in performance.

Almost no frame drop in Whiterun at all now, even with the whole Dragonsreach thing.

Markarth still runs a little sloppy around the main waterfall but easily a +10 frame improvement!

Tested on a Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.6 GHz, 4x1GB DDR2-800, GTX 560 Ti w/ slight factory OC. Ultra with AA turned down a bit, vsync on.

top of Whiterun w/o mod: 26-27 FPS
same, mod installed: 33-34 FPS

Tested both 3 times, restarting the game each time and loading save from console. What is this, I don't even... can anyone at Bethesda even spell "code profiler"?

Thanks for the explanation general, I feel a lot better knowing more people looked over the code. I'll still wait a few more days (family christmas breaks, so three days off from computer) and I'll give it a try when i get back. If it's still working without a hitch a huge thumbs up to these guys. Will probably become the nr.1 mod, along with the unnoficial Skyrim patch.
