Agree, they belong in a Sci-Fi game....which Fallout can be considered.

Lasers that are hand held weapons- check
Mutants- Check
Robots that can think for themselves- check
Giant versions of normal creatures- check
BS science to explain all of the above- check.

As you can see Fallout can be considered a Sci-Fi game.

Thing about the aliens is that they never properly appeared in anything other than random encounters and things which were questionable - though as far as I am concerned it is an alien body in San Fransisco. Look at Mothership Zetas, tell me what the aliens wanted which meant that they hovered over the Earth since the times of the Clan Oda in fuedal Japan all the way to 2277, that's like what 600 years? All to make the [censored] abominations? The aliens are just dumb now.

you mean like how the Independence day aliens were defeated by a mac book or the War of the world aliens were defeated by germs. Aliens making stupid and often illogical decisions is part of the whole alien thing.

Area 51 does exist, the only thing that the American government denies, is the fact that it is still an active area of research and development.

They do deny it, actually.

But in the last part, they say there is a facility near/on, and thats the dugway proving grounds, some ways from area 51, but is considered to be apart of the testing zone.

This once classifed CIA letter, confirms that its true, and that they do operate such a area.

LOL, they have got to put a Jeff Goldblum stereotype character in Fallout. If they did that, I`d be ok with some more Aliens. As long as Jeff is a companion and he defeats them in some super unbelievable way.

That's a pretty sad outlook, aliens can make plently of sense; point is though that the only aliens which were referenced in Fallout - the grey type aliens - are nothing more than bumbling bullet-sponges with little to no disercable objective despite being over the Earth for SIX-HUNDREED YEARS. You know, there could have been something interesting about the aliens society and culture to be learned; what would happen now if America started collecting people for a 600 year mission? There could have been some interest dicatorship or empire at work but all we got were that they were there fore the abominations.

That's not sad in any way. Aliens would be 10000X more technologically advanced then humans. If they didn't make dumb decisions we wouldn't be able to beat them and thus it would kinda kill the plot as they would kill everyone. Dumb aliens are necessary in order for humans to be able to win its just the way it works.

If they were smart they would just drop a anti-matter bomb and be done with it.

I have two things I would like to say.

Gojira needed to be included in the fallout game. Giant fire breathing gecko named gojira (japanese name for Godzilla). We have found the file in the game we just need it active. I want godzilla damn it. Who cares if he could kill every last one of us.

Also the fallout people Bethesda/obsidian have already said under no circumstances would Area 51 be included as a dlc area. sorry for you hopeful few.

I'd like it if it was at area 51, but without the aliens. Possibly there's a bunch of old alien costumes in a locker somewhere - along with a computer log explaining the plan which was used to distract the masses from the really awesome/awful stuff that was going down there...

Shame it's been vetoed by the devs though - it would have been fun.

Did you forget about the Skynet AI that you can recruit as a companion. He does say his AI was based off of alien technology.

Thank you... The Vault is your friend guys...

Its not Area 51 its Big Mountain, Utah. Aliens have already made their big debut and ending in MZ. Only time I want to see them is in a funny Special Encounter, nothing more, nothing less...

Exactly, so outside of a crashed scout ship don't have them in the game.

That's just from a mentats experiment; really think that people who bash Mothership Zeta for aliens being non-canon didn't do any research; you want something really obscure and forgetable then look at this:

{182}{}{"The subject on which we had hoped to establish a series of meaningful experiments has disappeared, presumed either destroyed or stolen by the Hubologists. Further inquiries have proven fruitless. Until such time as further specimens are obtained, this database will remain inoperative." - Dr. Sheng}

Psrt of the Shi's 'Xeno Programme', can't find the page on the body itself which you can recover from the Hubologists in San Fransisco, damn thing weighs more than Power Armour at 75.

By your logic aliens shouldnt be in anything ever, movies, books, games becuase there to overpowered and frankly if aliens are gone then Scifi would be dead.

Its not Area 51 its Big Mountain, Utah.

There is no Big Mountain in Utah, there is Big Mountain Pass.
Similarly there is Big Mountain Ridge in California as Big Mountain is a location in Alaska, Arizona, Montana, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.

Of those places chances are its Montana as its North of Salt Lake and so would limit NCR from attacking the Legion from the North and Arizona as it close enough to Route 93, Route 95, I-10 and I-40 so the NCR cannot push into Flagstaff or Phoenix from the west.

Considering how to limit NCR movement I would say Big Empty is Big Mountain, Arizona as Death Valley limits NCR movement to west of Las Vegas but it could not prevent a NCR assault from the west into Legion territory (or Legion push into the west) as there is nothing blocking them, well outside desert but still you have Lake Hawusu and Alamo Lake to serve as stops, not to say the I-10 that goes right into Phoenix.

Great Divide might be a reference to the Great Divide Basin, also the Continental divide, now were its a issue ... I suppose Triple Divide Peak makes a good candidate, I have a few ideas about what might be there, does close up expansion of the NCR coming from the north.

Hardly, there are plently of non-Alien invasion stories; in any even I just don't want their goal to be to hover over a planet for 600 years and occassionally abduct people to turn into - again with this Bethesda? - super-soldiers.

War of the Worlds arguable the most kick-ass twist in any sci-fi story ever.

There are not that many, I can only recall Alien Nation (that was a TV series) and District 9, when Aliens are not invading Earths it seems they are crashing into it and becoming legal Aliens.

Problem with Aliens is this, they have advanced technology due to their ability of space travel so they are a deal breaker ... if you add Aliens to Fallout then why exactly are they not helping to restore the world? Its a Deus ex Machina no matter what you do because they dont belong to Fallout setting, they are as much at home there as they would be in Firefly.
