The RR house might be good for vampire/necromancer type characters, but I like a house that is bright, warm, populated, and with non-creepy music. First thing I would mod if on the PC would be the sound track for the house.

There is decent display options, particularly with weapon plaques. I don't understand why the HF homes only have one weapon plaque (two if you build the enchanters tower) but lots of shield plaques. There are not that many unique shields, there are plenty of unique weapons. It is the only "standard" home with a complete smithing station. But I easily prefer the Lakeview and Heljarchen houses.

Use the secret servant! Less trips. I just wish it was better lit. I deal with enough spooky dark places, I don't want to live in one too!!!
