I'm surprised how Nashville managed to beat the Wings so quickly. They're all about Pekka Rinne, though. They fall the instant he doesn't play well or gets hurt.
I love Rinne. He was my Fantasy goalie this year and did very well. I'm not sad to see the Red Wings go.

Hopefully the Bruins can get some offense going. My man Maaashmont (when he's playing this poorly I get to call him that) is down on the 4th line. Should be interesting to see.

The ban-hammer has finally been brought down. While I don't always agree with this whole head-shot stuff (mainly due to the media overblowing it), this at least shows that the NHL is willing to be consistent in what it is trying to eliminate from the game, and finally shows some initiative on Shanahans part.

Torres is a useless goon anyways, so I can't think of anyone better to suspend for thsi amount of time.

I don't like the increasing suspensions for hockey plays but I will renege on my assertion that Torres should have got nothing but a penalty after watching Shanahan's explanation and videos of Torres' history. The guy is clearly a head hunter looking at previous videos, he pokes at the puck after it was gone from Hossa's stick before launching himself in the air and hitting Hossa to the head, a clear sign of intent and nullifying the possible defence of finishing a check.. so I think 25 games is appropriate here, and I was wrong.

Will likely be out of the house for the two earlier games so will probably miss them, hopefully can catch the later 3 games.

Although the score is 0-0, I really like the way the Bruins started this game. They rang two posts pretty hard, and actually got a good amount of pressure on their powerplays. I hope Chara is alright though.

Good riddance to Raffi Torres. He's nothing but a goon. Maybe the Bruins should take him, he'd fit right in. :P

Rough-y Torres is definitely the right man for that cake! :)

Although I had him in Philly once when I played NHL on PS...

Will join Bruins-Caps for the third period now. Seems even. I hope the Caps upset yet again. I had a feeling they will really challenge the Bruins in this series.

What Puliot did was indeed a penalty, one that you might call in the regular season. You might even call it in the first period of this game. But you don't call a penalty that weak in the 3rd period of a playoff game with 3 minutes to go. That being said, the Bruins should've made a better defensive/goaltending play on that shot. Nevertheless, we cannot forget that the Bruins rang two useless posts in the first period (which they dominated), then played like crap for most of the second.

We'll see what happens.

I only saw Washington having more will and incredibly hot goalie in the third. It'd be ironic that, the year they barely got to the playoffs and no-one expects anything from them, they'd go far for once. That is, in the last couple of years, they have been more like Cup contenders and they have always disappointed. This [censored] is interesting! :D

Yeah, who would have thought that Sens return to their home ice with series on the line for them. :ooo:

Also yet another Coyotes-Hawks overtime. Wow.

If the Flyers manage to close out this series I could easily see them amking the Cup considering how all the other series are going.

3-1 Flyers dominating so far besides that momentarily lap in D. Usually when you leave Malkin open it's a bad idea.

4-1 but the Pens going on PP.

Say goodbye to the Penguins! :D

I don't believe the Flyers would have won a Game 7 in Pittsburgh.

Now for the Kings to finish their series off tonight. :)

An extra tid-bit. Giroux now leads all players in the playoffs concerning goals, assists, points, and plus-minus.
