the one dungeon you THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO RETURN TO

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 6:38 am

Bleak Falls Barrow. I've been through it too many times.

I hate this place so much that I don't even bother to roleplay. On my bad days, I just console command to get through this dungeon.

I hate to say it, but Blackreach. It's absolutely beautiful, but it took forever to get through. I found all the nirnroot, so I've spent enough time there. I was glad to be out.
But I really don't go to any place I've already cleared.

Did you play with the dragon in the ceiling? He's a real nice fellow, his friends are jerks though...

The Kilkreath Barrow, the one from Meridia's quest. A real pain in the butt to get the sword on a low level char.

I don't remember what it was called, but I found a place that was piles upon piles of Spriggans. Beautiful, like a rainforest growing inside a cavern, but good gods, there must have been twenty of the buggers in there. Attacking me in fives. At level ten.

I wish I could find it again now that I'm Lv. 36 and covered tail-to-snout in Ebony. >.<

aye foreholst.
slashing through hordes of draugr wearing nothing but solid steel armor, an iron battle axe and a bow.
After gloriously defeating Rahgot, guess what was awaiting for me outside...

Eldergleam Sanctuary, a beautiful oasis in the middle of the arid part of Eastmarch... yeah, and full of those [censored] spriggans.

Well, I have a love-hate relationship with Dwemer dungeons. In a way I like them, in another I absolutely despise the noise, the gears and the steam and just want to get out of there as soon as possible. Mzinchaleft and Mzulft are great examples.

That dungeon for the Shrine of Azura quest when you're recovering the item. (Italina's Deep or something like that) If I wait too long to do that quest im forced to sneak kill all the mages because they'll wipe me out with expert level ice spikes. Ill have two or three spikes about three feet long sticking out of my chest in the death cam

If Sightless Pit is that dungeon in Winterhold hold, then I feel your pain. If you walk into that dungeon at too low of a level like I did, you'll be dead from poisonous Falmer.

Those dungeons are bad, but I hate Bthardamz more. Simply because all of the "afflicted" spew that nasty green stuff at you the entire quest. It doesn't hurt you. Its just gross. Also, after you complete that quest, there's a chance those "afflicted" could attack you as you're roaming Skyrim

Shimmermist Cave I think, and The sinking fort you go through for Azura's Star, damn magic users and too damp for my tastes.

Blackreach.
Fortuneately for you, you didn't have to go back. I went to do the quest for that guy just to find out I left that friggin cube in that holder because I grabbed the Elder Scroll and booked it out of there

The ones that I don't want to return to are usually the ones I forget about as soon as I leave them... if I could remember, I'd tell you.

Blackreach. Just because the map was so confusing. Also becuase of the amount of time searching for those goddam crimson nirnroot.

Honestly, I don't know what all the hubub about Blackreach is. I wasn't inspired by it at all and after spending about an hour in the damn thing I was texting a friend asking him how much further I had to go. There are way better dungeons. I loved Wolfskull Cave.

Nooo... not Eldergleam.... I know the cave they're talking about, but for the life of me I can't remember the name. There's a couple of bears at the top as well as the multitude of spiggon matrons/spriggons. This place makes Eldergleam look like a re-run of sesame street. I'll find it and edit my post when I do.

I'm going to say Bleak Falls Barrow, simply because I have done it so many times.

And a Cave/Dwemer ruin somewhere near Riften. You pull a lever in the cave that starts you into the Dwemer ruin with Falmer everywhere. Died about 20 times before I gave up for the short run.

BTW love Blackreach.
