Post » Fri May 27, 2011 3:16 pm

Post all of the notable unique items you've found in Dead Money here. If you PC and PS3 users have any questions, ask away.

So far, I've found the BAR and an Assassin Suit (Along with some other common items, like the knife spear, the police pistol, the cosmic knife etc.)

Assassin suit? :ermm: Post pics.

Unfortunately, the only means of uploading any pictures that I have is my cell phone (Which is very crappy itself), and when I snap a picture, you can barely make out anything in it. Sorry.

I hope the BAR isn't reality based, but somehow "lore" related, as the "real deal" is pretty much, (as far as Fallout tech goes) a non-starter, not to mention the fact that you need an entire new ammo category/caliber to make it run.

For its time, it was a devastating weapon, but that time passed very quickly, to be replaced with what we now refer to as an "M-14". Face it, a "SAW" that held only 10 rounds, however effective they might be, does nothing for the "spray 'n' pray" doctrine of modern (i.e.-post BAR/WWI) combat weaponry, especially once you need to mitigate the effects of recoil on those 10 rounds.

A "Hunter's Rifle", in the same caliber would be much more effective. The "lurv" for this beast must come form some WWII FPS that glamorized its role in actual effectiveness...

EDIT- After looking at further posts, it seems that the general consensus is that the BAR is (and somehow "should be") a .308 weapon, when in fact it was actually .30-06...

If such is true, at least from a gaming standpoint, it still would be inferior to an M-14, as the later model had several more features to increase durability, accuracy, and ammo capacity.

Again, I defer to "some other game who got it wrong" as well...

Whats Dean Domino like? Judging by the description of him, he sounds like he's kind of like Desmond from Point Lookout.

Stupid 360 players and their first dibs on content. :sadvaultboy:

He's definitely not annoying. God is annoying (Sounds weird to say, lol). He's always going on about how he wants to tear your limbs off and what not. Dean's awesome. I really can't pick off anything annoying about it him, although I can say he's nothing like Desmond.

Anywho, whats Dean like? Describe him.http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii97/Martyr_of_Death/CD-iLink.jpg

Edit- What is the assassin suit? Is it a vanilla item with unique stats or does it have its own skin?

That picture is terrifying. Lol. The Assassin suit has it's own unique skin, and Dean is kind of hard to describe. He's pretty eccentric, and doesn't sound anything like a ghoul. He's got one of those 'fancy-pants British accents', and the Courier hits it off with him immediately - well, almost immediately. He really is pretty hard to give a run-down of.

I can't wait to get THAT. And the BAR. And... everything else there is to grab.

The next 6 hours are going to drag. The last 3 have, that's for sure. :(

If I had a capture card I would've ran a live stream. Used to have one, but I let a friend borrow it and he lost it. I'm still waiting for him to pay me back.
