Things I miss from F3

A ghoul named "Harold" with a tree growing out of his head appears in Fallout Tactics, although it is unclear whether this is actually the Harold. So arguably 4 games.Thank wiki.

That wasn't actually the Harold from Fallout 1/2/3.

Ok 1 using the bunker to help house is the one choice (your on his side everything you do with him doesn't count as a choice ) your already helping house so that doesn't count gomorrah fine i can say ohhh replicated man (throw whatever supposed choice and i can easily give you one from fo3 ).Ohhh choice as my reward what choice ok i can say Reilly's Rangers where you can choose your reward aswell .Ohh and ways to kill Kimball i don't remember there being offical choices it was just like shoot or stab and fine you can choose to make John Henry Eden self destruct only the top of my head.

1. "Ok 1 using the bunker to help house is the one choice (your on his side everything you do with him doesn't count as a choice )"
Uhm, you can betray him and help Caesar, thus blowing up the bunker.

2."(throw whatever supposed choice and i can easily give you one from fo3 )"

That's funny. I put hundreds of hours into Fallout 3, and I can easily say it had nowhere near as many choices as New Vegas.

3."Ohh and ways to kill Kimball i don't remember there being offical choices it was just like shoot or stab and fine you can choose to make John Henry Eden self destruct only the top of my head."
Do you even know what quest I'm talking about? There's several "official" choices. One being sabatoging the anti-air gun on the dam and making it fire at his vertibird. Another placing a bomb under the podium he speaks at. There were a couple more as well.

I have a feeling you either rushed through New Vegas, or so strongly believed it svcked without even playing it that you missed most of the actual game.

 Do you even know what http://www.project610.com/files/Harold.jpg looks like? Maybe you should try playing the games insted of using wiki.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Harold_(Fallout_Tactics) in Fallout Tactics is not Harold. Just an easter egg/node to the original.

It's obvious to anyone who has actually played the game. His portrait and his biography are not at all related to the actual Harold's.

That is another thing I don't like about what they did to Harold. They used him as a reason to make the DC wasteland have life again. It should have already had life! It should have had trees and farms just like all the other Fallout games.

Bethesda should have just left Harold alone.

I think its again just tacked back to their poor writing, i think when they Penned the draft for the Fallout 3 story they were going to make it much earlier (say 30 years after the bombs dropped) because thats the setting they made. that explains the high levels of radiation all over the map, and the lack of Vegetation. but then someone asked How the BOS and the Enclave got to the CW and then they re-wrote the Date but didn't change the Wasteland Worldspace to match it.

Everybody forgets. I forget. We're all human. Just don't go arguing a point when your evidence to support it is faulty-ish. Fallout 3 had choices, yes, but New Vegas put more emphasis on them.

My point I am trying to make is they arn't the same. Different backgrounds and the tree is the only thing they have in common when it comes to looks.

unfair cheap shot removed.

You made a thread asking people to name the differences between New Vegas, and Fallout 3, mostly. A NV Vs F3 argument was bound to happen.

Not differences only what people miss from fallout 3 like things that would be nice to see in fallout new vegas or future ones. Not about how harold got in to the picture. The you can say that youve missed harold. So i made a new one were you stay to that subject. Not bad things at all only what you liked that you miss that youve wanted to see in new vegas. It should be only positive

maybe I should make my Own topic

What I miss from Fallout 1 / 2 :P

but back on topic about fallout 3 :P

I just Imagen a game where Bethesda made Crap up them selfs, instead of the blatant copy/pasta job they did.
a world where Perhaps Rileys Rangers are the White Knights,
where the Talon company are the main bad guys (or some variation of that)
instead of the Outcasts you could have Scientists from the Commonwealth Scaving DC for Advanced tech
Im ok with Having the Enclave Make an Appearance Due to the fact its DC (the Oldworld Seat of Power)
i mean Im No writer. but these are just things they could have done and It still would have been fallout Because you can still Use Vaults and References to Old world Companies like West Tek, or General Atomics, or Robco. you can still do all the great things in Fallout 3 you just dont have to rely on factions so far removed from the east coast

I agree but i think they wanted to have some sort of series roots so they added the bos etc .

and that i think is the problem. people think Fallout is all about guys in power armor, and its not. its about survival after a Nuclear war. and humanity picking up the pieces.

Fallout Tactics and Ugh.. the Xbox game B.o.s. are the main reasons everyone (including Bethesda) think fallout revolves around the BOS. and its a mistake that will drive this series in to a grave

if you wanted the game to have roots In Fallout Start the game off In a Vault. have something happen that requires you to leave the vault. and start from there.

Yeah, they were probably trying to please the old fans by making them think "Oh my god! It's the BOS! I know those guys!" However, that plan failed. It failed miserably.
