Things I miss from F3

Post » Wed Mar 02, 2011 9:54 am

There is some things i miss from Fallout 3 that i think would be nice in New Vegas.

Is that things you could collect and gice to a certein person for caps or other stuff like:

Fort Independence: Trade in tech for som useful stuff

Underworld/Megaton: Sell scrap metal for some caps

Arlington Library: Pre-War Books for caps

Metro Station: Sell sugar bombs for caps

You get the picture becasue non of that stuff is in the game i only know that a certein quest will let you give metal things to the gun runners. But it could be nice if you could do them anytime just for something little more to do. Like that you could come up with something new though for New Vegas that would be sweet becasue myself i like to collect things so i can earn a lot of more caps in that way.

WHats your thought on that?

I completely agree but I don't think we'll see too much of these things added to NV. Fallout 3 seemed to never get boring and always had things to do. But hey, at least NV has a mind blowing story! (Lmao...)

I am remembering my first play-through when I lifted every pre-war book I could find and couldn't find anyone who would buy them at FO3 prices. LOL!

To the point, though, the FONV devs tried (and mostly succeeded) in avoiding the over-powered characters of FO3. While I sometimes miss those kinds of services/merchants, I think the game is better for their not being there.

Thats very true but still, becasue many things you find feel kinda useless though and it would be nice to get some extra caps from speical customers.

And one thing though I also would like to see maybe not in new vegas, but maybe in Next Fallout game if they will make it is more buyable houses and stuff like that. And even more exploration. Many buildings are boarded up and sometimes that anoyes me :P

Yeah but things are also even more expensive in new vegas and doesnt make you a super character just that you can earn extra caps,

You can always work for cl and sell ncr dog tags to them. Plus cl pays a lot better than NCR they leave you a ton of crap at the drop boxes, and a good amount of Legion money.

Gambling and the Thor took the place of that kind of stuff.

There is a lot of stuff I miss from fo3, but there is also stuff in this game that would have made fo3 even better.

Yeah the CL I know but i never side with them I only side with the ncr.

But it would be nice if they also put those stuff together from F3 with NV because I dont only want to make easy caps but more like a little optional scavaneging quest that never ends just for a litte more meaning in collecting and finding things for people. Even if the give u better rep, caps, stims you name it.

I think the combination of things such as weapon mods and new weapons and those such things that were added to NV, added in with the exploration and map size and such of FO3 is going to make for one heck of a Fallout game when FO4 comes out.
I hope we get weather such as rain and snow that will occur where ever over the course of the map.
But I suppose that's for another sub-forum..

The Victory Rifle, love it. Twas great against high HP enemies cos when you scored a critical it knocked them down, giving you a few free shots at them.

- The Schematics for crafting weapons.
- Andale's dark secret.

I wish FO3 and New Vegas had a baby. That baby would be awsome! Combine new vegas weapons and a couple FO3 weapons with FO3 armor. Also, New Vegas quests.

Missed the subway tunnels. You could walk in one of those then run through every clip of ammunition you had if you were looking to bloody it up.

I miss bobbleheads, not for the special and stat bonus, but having the entire collection in my home.

Snowglobes aren't nearly as desirable.

Ah F3 the good memories. It shaped our hearts. It inspired us. It came after F2 and it will and always be awesome.

I feel like the base game of F3 had way more to do. Dont get me wrong I love NV but sometimes I feel like this is nowhere near a complete game. This is after playing through multiple times.
