The Fallout Bible is only semi canon so don't take what is written in it as canon

Edit: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Canon#Semi-canon_works

Edit 2: Wanamingos are "manufactured" (for want of a better term) lifeforms. And are believed to be dying out by 2241. Though they are long lived and the fact that No-Bark mentions them means they are at the very least still known about in living consciousness. I still standby my belief (read wish if you like) that they "could" be around in the wastes as the Chosen One killed the only known queen during Fallout 2. That to me is a bit vague and leaves the door open to there being more wanamingos out there, somewhere. And I for one want them back :D http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Wanamingo

Semi-canon does not mean "not canon".

From the link you just gave:
The Fallout Bible by Chris Avellone is considered canon as long as it doesn't contradict the canon games,

"as long as it doesn't contradict the canon games" is the crucial part there, and since there has been no mention of wanamingos in the canon games (bar what No-Bark says) anything we say on them being extinct or not is pure speculation until it is addressed canonically in a canon game ;)

I just hope Chris remembers that he wrote this and holds true to his words and doesn't include them.
I loved them, but all good things must come to an end.
I loved that the Wannamingos came to be but also loved that they came to end.
It was fitting somehow.

Oh well, I'll just pray to Norman Frempt and Bruce Willis that they don't change that part of the lore. :)

Renesco: Me? I'm jolly ol' Saint Nick. And YOU must be that stupid slip of pormo trash that trench coat-wearing elderly men use to fulfill their mastvrbatory fantasies.

Ah yes New Reno...hilarious dialogue to be found there.

Yeah... I'd like to revisit New Reno.

Also, I want time bombs that blow doors open and explode the occasional outhouse.

PS

I'm still waiting for two-headed grizzly bears. There should be some around Jacobstown!

Would like to see the good exploration return. Doc's house in the beginning was almost the most fun building to explore after reaching most of the Fallout NV locations. Need random encounters and a TES style build up of skills through practice (which makes more sense than gaining nothing from using different skills repeatedly). Obsidian needs to stay out of the develepment.

I'm with you until this point. I think gamesas should be kept out of development and they should overhaul out all the crappy TES mechanics left over and put in more Fallout mechanics.

Sorry Xarnac but I even need to go after you.
Wannamingos, extinct.

To be honest, they're my favorite mutation in the entire series and I hated that they put the nail in their coffin and declared them extinct. :(
If it was possible (which it most likely isn't) I would also like to see them again.
But that would most likely be in a game set in 2239 to 2242 in the west coast.

If No-Bark believes they still live, then I believe they still live.
*Remembers Jurassic Park*
Ian Malcom would disagree with Chris and the Wannamingos "Internal Clock"...

Id like for them to bring back the dart gun, more random encounters and more urban areas to explore (maybe they could do this with DLC)

The skill leveling system from Oblivion. Gaining master skills by practicing the respective skill over time. :read: :flamethrower: :gun:

EDIT: oh by "or others" you meant other Fallout games. I wish there were more subways and seweres to explore.

That is it. I would love being able to gain levels by using my skills. That is what I miss when I play Fallout. I need TES:V like... Now. At least announce it.

Also, I wish I could have the Railway gun. I'm not sure if it's in NV but I miss it nonetheless.

Fallout: New Vegas had some impressive moments, places, etc... . But which weapon/place/monster/person/... would you love to see again that appeared in other Fallout games?

I was a bit dissapointed that there were no normal Mirelurks in NV but only Mirelurk Kings. I'm also missing my beautiful custom weapon collection from FO 3 like the Rock-it Launcher or the Dart Gun.

How about you? What would you like to see again in this game?

Nuka-grenades - Playing at Very Hard level, you need your explosives to hit uh... very hard.
Dart Gun
All the makeshift weapons and make them available early.

but... but...
The Fallout series never incorporated that mechanic in any of the series games (or even the spin-offs).

Fallout is just not meant to be TES. (I actually counted us lucky that they did not bring that over from Oblivion :o )
But to each our own preference right? :foodndrink: (Of course, I did not mind it at all when playing Oblivion/Morrowind)

*Myself I would like to see them implement better support for high angle TPP, and restore the cornerstone foundation of the series ~that being a full featured TB combat mode.
(or at least something better than none ~and as anyone knows... VATS is by no means TB anything)

From the originals: Highly more stat driven combat (turnbased would be preferable, but real time can also be tweaked to be more statdriven) and gameplay in general, the original worldmap system with nodes, the atmosphere, point'n click gameplay (The Witcher and DA:O had it as well as TPP over the shoulder. The ages old http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzYmQyHl2bc had both, point'n click/"ISO" and FPP gameplay - so why wouldn't todays technology be able to accomplish that?).

From Fallout 3: Meh, there's already too much of that.

I've seen that video... a year or so ago. Had Doom 3 been like that, I would've actually played it beyond the first hour

Had they finished the mod, I'd have bought Doom 3.
