I have Lydia as a follower and was travelling across some rough, rocky terrain. I looked back to see if Lydia had gotten stuck. Sure enough, she was running in place trying to catch up. Then to my surprise, she does a front roll to overcome her obstacle! I thought that was cool. Not sure if anyone else has seen that.

If you are a beast race and equip the ancient shrouded cowl it will not appear on your head but your hair will disappear, however it will stay equipped. Using this you can combine it with pretty much all masks and both effects stay active. Apparently you can also wear a circlet but i havnt tried this.

The bar tender at the Sleeping Giant Inn inside Riverwood sells Daedra hearts and some other exotic Alchemy ingredients.

I'd say either use Iron Arrows, there seems to be no end to those things on bandits, or get your Conjuration up to 45 or so and buy the Bound Bow tome, 100 free arrows on each cast!

Buy two ebony arrows at the weapons shop in Solitude. Then move into the courtyard where the soldiers are practicing archery. Equip each archer with one ebony arrow apiece. Soon they'll both start shooting ebony arrows at the targets and you can collect them for either use or sale.

Unfortunately it's very inconsistent and seems to work really well only in the beginning. Sometimes you go back and the target has 10 ebony arrows in it and sometimes it has just one or two with the rest being steel. But the first time I did it, I just sat there for longer than I'll admit and plucked 200 ebony arrows out of the target before getting tired of the process.

If you have the pickpocketing perks, you need to remove their steel arrows. If you don't have the perks, wait until they go inside at night and then pickpocket the steel off them while they are asleep. They'll always use the new arrows you give them after that. Works with Daedric.

side note: this works way better at the Thieves Guild. Nearly every member in the Cistern will shoot at the targets. There are multiple targets, one near the water and several in the back room. They also shoot at about 5x the speed of the Solitude guards.

So, I heard awhile back that theres a Light house with a Kahjit keeper. Anyone know where?
I know Solitude's lighthouse (north of the city, just follow the road along the coast) has a Khajiit keeper. It's the lighthouse you need to pay a visit for a quest from an Argonian.

If you've got a follower and want light without using up your torches, give one torch to your follower. He/she will equip it immediately when it's night or when you're inside a ruin/..., and it'll be one of the eternal kind (until you take it back of course).

Not sure if it's really such an interesting thing: when you force Naris the Wicked into the very cell he's standing in front of and lower the gate again, thus trapping him, he'll still be trapped in there when you come back at a later time (provided you didn't kill him). Unfortunately, he didn't seem to be very impressed by it.

at the start of a new game, if you look at your stats it will say 'most gold carried: 140'. your character was just about flat broke when they were caught.

some excellent content in this thread and the first thread as well. very nice job everyone.

There is no need to shoot the flying birds with arrows, you can just shoot any projectile spell at them and they will drop, and there is no need for the projectile to be of harming nature, i.e. you can frenzy them down.

Clearly birds are too nice, all that rage ends up overwhelming their innocent little hearts

Equipping followers with a torch is already mentioned, but I like to equip them with a soul trap enchanted weapon (craft one or use Mace of Molag Bal) and some gems as well, so they will do the farming for me. Tried it with Mjoll the Lioness and every time we come back to a city she passes me a hand full of filled up gems. I also equip her with Sanguines Rose and she uses it frequently (dont forget to reload the staff from time to time).

If both you and your follower are over-encumbered, you can drop the item and ask your follower to take it, infinite carry weight ftw.

If you use staff of magnus on a dragon, it won't be able to use breath (unless it's already using it). Remember to stop using staff of magnus when the dragon's health is low, or you won't be able to absorb its soul.

Do not do this with stacks of items (6+) or you will be very dissapointed when you get back to town!

Related to this, Dead Thralls will also equip torches when an area is dark or it's nighttime. Works best on mage thralls in my experience as the warrior types will usually follow with a weapon out and that means a shield or two-handed weapon so no torch. Also an effective "warning system" because when it suddenly goes dark, you know it's action time (as if the radar/motion tracker didn't do that already but I digress).

Put the item in an chest and ask the follower to empty it and it work nice.

Note sometimes items get the stolen flag even from containers in dungeons so be careful here, if you plan to use it for crafting or even melt ore to bars and sell you don't care. However don't do this to items you want to use, also expensive items you want to sell unless thief guild member.

The dragon priests have a combat area that they will not leave, meaning if you get far enough away you can pelt them with arrows and they won't attack

You should do that at night. Go into the barracks and pickpocket the soldiers while they are sleeping. Remove their Steel arrows and give them one Ebony or better yet, Daedric arrow. The next morning, they will be shooting the arrow type you gave them.

First, there's no way you can pickpocket them in the training yard, with all eyes on you. Second, you will not see their equipped arrows in the inventory.

I have over 300 Deadric arrows on one of my toons and when she runs low, she just heads back to Solitude to restock. :)
