Unofficial DLC Discussion [Possible Spoilers] - Thread #5

Am I the only one that would like to see Artaeum?
I'd love to see Artaeum and follow up on the Psyjic Order stuff with the College, but there'd have to be a pretty good explanation if that is the case, cus its been gone for 100 years......

November 11 to Aprill 11 is 5 months.
Yeah, Skyrim's 6 month anniversary isn't until May 11th.

I'm pretty sure you can't really "meet" sithis

Why not? he lives in the void so if you went to the void he would be there

I really hope the DLC comes with spears, more marriage options (a khajiit please, i mean come on? really?), Maybe more homes, touchy quest subjects....goes on, but those are really the only big things i want right now.

He doesn't really live in the void, as he is really more of a concept the an actual being, although he does 'exist'.

I thought Sithis "was" the void? So that would still be pretty impossible.

I want to see an epic storyline where the Thalmor are trying a magical ritual to tap into the unlimited magic energy that would give them the power they need to rule Skyrim, and the world. Little did they know, it's too much for their plane of existence, and the magical energies end up consuming Mundus...

It's up to the Dragonborn to get to (area of Tamriel) and find the (unnamed magic artifact) so he can go back in time and stop the Thalmor before they destroy the world!

Of course, it would take longer than going to the place and getting the thingy. It would be dramatic, and have lots of Sheogorath (maybe).

Imagine a hollow sphere. This is oblivion. Imagine planets inside of the sphere. The planets and moons are all "Mundus". Pocket demensions "in" this sphere are Aetherius and the Planes of Oblivion.

Now outside of the Oblivion sphere, imagine space. Space without stars or planets. Just infinite black. Void.

Atleast that is how I see it from reading UESP.

i hope whatever the new dlc is that it has some new daedric enemies like scamps clannfears and daedroths and maybe even spells to summon those creatures. and winged twilights could deffinitly be interesting since skyrim supports flying creatures.

Molag Bal has declared war on Hircine, both the daedric and mortal realms are in danger. Molag bal has send legions of powerful vampires to invade the hunting ground. These vampires calling themselves the night eaters are extremely powerful, they're leader the dread vampire tyrant( bal's right hand man) has twice the power of Alduin. To try and defend from this, hircine send in werewolf prime( his third strongest servant) to rally the other werewolves, creating the group known as the claw markers.

As the dragonborn, you are invited to help either side win the war but even your dragonborn powers are not enough, you'll need allies. If you side with hircine, you'll get to do some unique quest chains with werewolf prime like defending from vampire attackers, assaulting vampire bases and eventually confronting the dread vampire tyrant at the tower of the damned.
If you side with molag bal, you'll still get epic quests from their point of view. Become the dread vampire tyrant's greatest champion as you lead his forces and cleave through the hunting ground, slaughtering hundreds of werewolves in the process. Once you reached the hunting castle, werewolf prime has gained tremendous power from hircine, he has ascended to werewolf prime supreme. All is not lost, the dread vampire tyrant comes to back you, destroying the monster and gaining 1/3 of the hunting ground for molag bal.

I hope Besthesda or Todd improves the Loot system with a patch cause i think alot of people brought up the loot system isn't good enough for unique stuff.

Something with the Psijic order, the college of Winterhold tied in with the great collapse story

I'd like to see Winterhold in its full glory ( doesn't have to magically reverse the collapse but maybe some kind of time travel during a mission)

A few things that would be nice:

Make the wood elf tame skill permanent and if the creature is big enough you can make it a mount. Add an NPC that can do this for other races at a cost or some kind of requirement.

Spears, Spears, Spears... oh did I forget SPEARS.

More artifacts that are actually useful, Ariels Bow anyone? If we get spears then the Spear of Bitter Mercy.

Divine armor and weapons to match Daedric, maybe I don't want to look like a sadist at end game hmmmm? Ever think about that.

Smithing, Arrows, circlets and more options altogether, colors, customizing armors and weapons. You know adding Nordic Runes and what not, removing the pauldrons and glove spikes from ebony armor... That kind of thing.

Buying land and building on it, this shouldn't even need to be said really...

Horse armor and make Frost unkillable or something for those of us that wiped out the Dark Brotherhood.

Make dragon fights an actual fight...

More wife choices... Hroki in Markarth for instance, yes please.

Fix Dark Elf faces.... I'm not trying to look like Wharf from Startrek in Skyrim. Give me that two handed half circle weapon he uses then I won't mind.

More artifact/unique Shields and armors.... Shields more then armors, Ysgrammors shield is pretty lame but your gloves spikes etc.. don't stick out past it so I use it for that reason.

Titles for your hero to be called that the player can create, like hte Oblivion titles for the arena, just better.

Add the Arena to Skyrim.

More tattoos and hair styles and the options to change the ones you have during actual game play.

More Divine related material in general, not just weapons and armors that are daedric grade but quests to go with it and maybe the option to choose our own patron divine who we can exclusively serve, on the reverse the same option for a patron daedra. Now wouldn't that be nice.

The list for what we can dream of is pretty much endless....

Another good concept i just thought of is kinda inspired by Red Dead Redemption or Mass Effect in that the player sould go recruit allies, and assemble a team to complete whatever quest the DLC has included. Sort of like a fellowship feel, in that you need the skills of various companions to complete dungeons, like a dungeon full of locked doors and undead; you could recruit a master theif to open the locks, a mage to turn the undead, leaving you to be the warrior. Or maybe you're raiding a Thalmor base and you're playing as a thief; you could recruit a Ward using mage to defend from magical attacks, and a warrior to do the dirty work.
Not like regular companions though.

fair enough if they do read this and i mean you BETHESDA!

1. fix horses so they backup like in oblivion, its a game not real life!

2. Have more followers.. ie more than 1 per time (not including dogs etc)

3. i'd like to see an addon/dlc... when you fight someone... once they fall to the floor and beg for they're life, you can either kill them or force them to join you as a follower either for a limited period or until killed, unless you accidently hit them then they revert back to an enemy (bosses/masters etc. not included)

4. a Psyjic Order story, we dont really hear much about them.

5. be able to port user game characters from oblivion over to skyrim... yes i know i can hope!

6. a pet creature like a rat etc. who can wander round and scope area's out for you unless blocked by walls/doors <-- another hoper! lol

7. If i wear enemies cloths they will think im with them ie wearing forswarn armour would let me wander through they're camps/castles without fear.

I think we'll get some new information this week. Well, that's what I got out of this http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1364960-unofficial-dlc-discussion-possible-spoilers-thread-5/page__st__30http://twitter.com/#%21/DCDeacon/status/187916584340307968.

Aside from wanting the things I mentioned previously a new area/province/daedra realm or whatever would be nice. Also some kind of method for me to lay a beatin on the Thalmoor since I've already killed every killable high elf in my game, I will pruge you vermin filth if it's the last thing I do. A real fix for Dunmer faces on the consoles and SPEARS and more artifact/unique bows shields and actual useful armors..... Ebony Mail.... Just give me Goldbrand back since that Mail is useless.

That isn't a bad idea, it kind of sounds like something that could be made into a whole new mainquest in the next game, but NO Sheogorath I am tired of people saying he is the best it isn't funny and we already had a DLC based around him just recently in Oblivion.
Where do you come up with these ideas? Besides I am pretty sure Molag Bal can't just send vampires to Hircine's realm, and a vampire that is stronger than Alduin, not likely considering he was the first born of Akatosh- one of the gods.

5 and 7 should never happen. 5 would break game lore and 7 is stupid....NV had that and I hated it :/ mainly cause NCR armor was epic but if i wore that I made enemies and friends I didnt want. Blah. Personal opinion.

I like the idea of 7 allot, make it like New Vegas style. But normal friendly NPC's wont attack you for wearing it.

If we end up in a daedric realm again I would want it to be in Peryite's realm. He is a dragon daedra in a game focused on dragons. I think that would be pretty interesting to see.

What about Mephala? :) we know next to nothing about this prince. Peryite would be a bit to much dragon on dragon action in my opinion
