Unofficial DLC Discussion [Possible Spoilers] - Thread #5

Unsure what stance you're taking there, but he's right; after all, you dont start at one month.

Oh, I meant I thought it was funny because the post he was commenting on said it was the 6 month anniversary. Sorry, my post got messed up.

Why not? he lives in the void so if you went to the void he would be there
That isn't even close to how it works. Sithis is reaction and change itself, and isn't like the Daedra who, while also personifications of ideas, take a physical form. Sithis has no physical form, and neither does Anu who is action and stasis (mindscrew). Their interaction allows everything else to happen. So you can't "meet" Sithis. Especially since the Night Mother as we see her is just Mephala trolling a bunch of blood-thirsty crazies into thinking Sithis is a person-like-entity.

On that note, my answer: I think that I would prefer somewhere in Tamriel, whether as a new questline like KotN or a full new area, or even an extension of previous questlines. But if we're leaving Tamriel, I think it should be a reclaimed Septim mananaut spaceship taking us to Masser to look for artifact proof of Talos' divinity on his old moon base. The villains would be the Thalmor, who are looking to find the evidence and destroy it.

One thing I would like to see is more type of dragons added like what the deadly dragons mod adds (I don't have the game on pc so I can't use any mods)

Any news/confirmation of what to expect tomorrow? I know it's not 6th month' anniversary, but the devs stated that the news would be in April. And well, a 5th anniversary gift would be also welcome... :)

Let's revise a bit:

Useful mounts... Why does my horse get more aggro from a dragon then let's say me the Dragonborn sent to harvest their souls....

Tying into the useful mount idea is making the Wood Elf, or Bosmer if you prefer, race ability let you permanently tame a creature and name it, if it's big enough even ride it, White Sabre Cat mount anyone? Yes please. Adding an NPC that can do this for races not Bosmer would be simple enough but it would make the Bosmer race ability actually well useful.

Dragon morphing shout or something, no not riding one like a pet but actually turning into one and soaring around Skyrim and maybe having an in flight dragon fight, if you think idea is bad you probably like Twilight and want some lame ass Vampire garbage.

Spears, swinging, thrusting, throwing, all of it.... Also why can't we thrust with a sword.... That's one of the most basic sword attacks.

Purchasable land. When bought we can then build whatever we want, House, Castle, Tower, Lair... whatever strikes your fancy, but to get the rights to buy land you gotta do some stuff for the Jarl of the Hold you want to buy land in, sounds fair? Also might actually make all the lumber mills be more then just scenery we never go visit.

Town improvements, ever wish you could fix the broken run down walls in Whiterun? Or have more shops etc.. in Morthal? I know I do and if we give the Jarls the coin we should get the option to improve and enlarge the Holds.

Throwing weaponry, not ninja stars since that's pretty much [censored]. But knives and axes should be throw-able, like Mel Gibson chucking tomahawks in The Patriot.

Smthing... Well we should be able to smith arrows and design our own, daedric arrows look like forks tied to sticks.... Horrid just horrid, I still use Steel and Dwarven arrows because seeing those arrows heads protruding out of the back of my foes dome is just satisfying. Circlets and more jewelry choices altogether, add cloths and let us customize our cloths, armor and weapons with colors and add/remove feature.... Damn ebony gloves and pauldrons look like crap. Adding runes to our gear or something along those lines would be nice, I would like to look different from everyone else I see roaming around.

Divine armor and weapons to match the daedric caliber ones, I said it before maybe I don't want to look like a sadist to have the best armor, and the daedric shield is utterly hideous, I'd rather use a piece of drift wood.

More unique/artifact gear, Daedra Princes have more then the crap we get so we should be able to earn more favor to get better stuff. We should be able to get Divine artifacts as well there are some in lore after all. Auriels Bow anyone? Yes Please.

More bows, the only truly unique bow is the Nightingale bow.... Why is that? Run out of bow ideas or just one massive brain fart that never cleared up?

Choosing a Patron Divine or Daedric Prince to exclusively serve... We see the NPC's doing at the shrines and temples so why can't we and get quests and goodies for doing it?

Ideas? I has em.

I want the usual:
-More play space
-More armour and weapons
-More interesting and varied quests
-More enemy types. The sea is a bit empty at the moment. A kraken would certainly liven things up and make you more afraid of the water.
-More interesting NPCs
-New housing
-New followers. New types of followers and more commands.
-More mounts
MOAR everything!

I agree with just about everything you had to say, except for the mount part, I think only Bosmer should be able to tame a certain animal and make it their mount, but that sounds a little bit like WoW and that game svcks. And your second idea is rubbish, no offense, and yes I would rather have something that involves vampires or werewolves, but that does not mean I like Twilight, it is not a good movie but it is not the worse I have seen either.

Skyrim is supposed to be 200 years on from Oblivion, so all the human characters would be dead.

Edit: But I liked the idea of 7 though.

i know there are alot of "Lore" mongers here who want the "Lore" to be upheld until the end of time... but its only a game.. plus beth+valve made a portal mod remember? that wasnt "Lore" friendly either.

I hope they open up all of Tamreil!! That would be epic  but I would highly doubt that.. at least give us the surrounding provinces. I mean, didn't people find those area's like Cyrodiil and Morrowind outside the invisible walls of skyrim?

I would like to see an dlc that adds the mainland of Morrowind:
  • Main quest : Resettle morrowind (Azura as "good god" which wants to rebuild Morrowind/Any other god as "antagonistic god" who wants to defeat her plans).
  • Side quest : Rebuild the Morag Tong.
  • Side quest : Join one of the houses and help it to regain its old power.
Morrowinds - geography, climate and architecture is totaly diffrent form the one in Skyrim, so it would add some diffrence. Argonians are a pretty popular race, and morrowind is probably filled with argonians, which stayed there after the war. Quests like : rebuild one of the cities, destroy the aragonian warband, ect.
Morag Tong - assassins guilds were always pretty popular so why not adding a new one to the beside the DB.
Houses - in skyrim we are just able to become thane and thats it but we dont have the option to join a clan an rise to the top.

Other then that i would like to see:
  • More unique armor/weapons
  • New armor/weapon sets
  • Bigger variety of enemy types
  • Spears
  • Crossbows

Well, it's just a game, does this mean games are "lower" than film and books? So games don't must habe a interessting and logic world like books?
Are games just about "light fun" for idiots?

I am hoping for full-blown support to join the Vigilants of Stendarr, as well as more organization-specific quests.

I'd also like to see spears added into the game. I'm puzzled why they weren't included in the release.

A good unarmed combat perk tree would be fantastic.

Sorry my english isn't really good, I mean following, you say "it's just a game", my answer handles about, what does this mean. I mean because it's a game it don't need a complex world a logical story and a lore? It's just a game so it's just about fan, a game can't reach the same level like an intelligent book?

I doubt we will get a landmass as large as that. Maybe something like Shivering Isles?

It could be that we go to only a small portion of that province, even though I think that would be a waste of a DLC. I want to go to another Daedric Prince's plane, preferably Hircine's since this could allow Bethesda to rectify their mistakes with the current werewolves.

Werewolves in Skyrim are very weak at higher levels, like around level 30 they get useless and can be killed in one or two hits. They also took away lunar transformations, which is kind of what makes a werewolf a werewolf, they also have horrible jumping skills. Bethesda also left out bonuses in human form, and in beast form werewolves do not have night vision or anything, and the only way they get additional powers, that should be part of their natural instincts, is from Totems you find. Bethesda really needs to make Lycanthropy like they had it in Daggerfall.
So do I. But i also want to travel to Elsweyr. I'm not one of those Cats but I am tired of the snow xD
I also want to go to Elsweyr, in the next game, because I too am tired of the snow.

I'd like to go to High Rock. Geographically, it's on a much smaller scale than the other provinces, making it easier to program and fill and all that. It'd also be cool if it provided a way to rebuild Orsinium as a campaign of sorts. It'd also have more factions to help out (since High Rock is politically split), and you might be able to do missions for certain kingdoms to help them gain more power while trying to conceal that fact from the rulers of other kingdoms.

It'd also be cool if you started branching out the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood into this province.
