Unofficial DLC Discussion [Possible Spoilers] - Thread #5

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 7:23 am

What about Mephala? we know next to nothing about this prince. Peryite would be a bit to much dragon on dragon action in my opinion
I agree we have seen enough dragon action, but I think we should have Hircine that way Bethesda can rectify their mistakes with the werewolves they gave us.

i looked at page 1 and 2 of the General discussion Section and i see 1/2 of the threads are 'DLC ideas'. I think they are made by the same person as spam...
Anyway, i remembered someone giving an idea about the dragonborn going to cyrodiil and relight the dragonfires. i Would love to see how kvatch is doing nowdays...

its probably still on fire lol

the ONLY reason I dissagree with trap-making is because it takes away some of the utility mages get with their runes, which is the last thing they need. The destro tree is already pretty weak. Beast taming would be...neat....but they have spells for temporary taming and dogs. I'm not sure what you mean by tracking. Like tagging a mob or something? Having your character actually play bardic music would be nice :) I think the dragonborn should be able to sing or play a song, let alone sit and have a bite to eat, or drink.

I think a cool DLC would be if they made a new quest for each race, so that would be 10 new quests total. That would make it feel like the race you play actually makes a difference and will help make each character feel more unique. Maybe for orcs there could be some kind of siege on the orc strongholds you have to defend against, for khajiit maybe find something interesting to do with the trade caravans, argonian obviously some quest that involves being under water a lot, dunmer lead some kind of rebellion in windhelm, etc. You would only be able to do the quest that is for your race so if you wanted to do another quest you would have to make a new character

5 and 7 should never happen. 5 would break game lore and 7 is stupid....NV had that and I hated it :/ mainly cause NCR armor was epic but if i wore that I made enemies and friends I didnt want. Blah. Personal opinion.

how would it break game "lore" your telling me no one from cyrodiil can ever visit skyrim provence?

I personally would love most of the things Todd showed in the DLC video. Like Werebear, flying vampire, giant mudcrabs, spears (I've always loved spears and hate that most games never put them into their weapons), new mounts, the flaming skeletal horse, perhaps a Frost horse. A horse with the kind of ice/mist floating around it (like ice wraiths have) and the horse having ice spikes coming out of it. Bringing back the Unicorn like they had in Oblivion would be nice.

I'd like to see some improvements on the werewolf. I've always loved mythological stories of werewolves, and the fact that my human form is way stronger than my werewolf form is pretty dumb, to me. Maybe make it into stages, this could be an easy way to bring the werebear in.

Obviously I'd love to have new weapons, armors, shouts, magic. Maybe some actual magic ARMORS, and not just robes.

New perk trees would be nice, with a higher level cap. There's so much skills that are so useful it's very hard to pick. No matter what you can't get every single perk that you want.

Skyrim is supposed to be 200 years on from Oblivion, so all the human characters would be dead.

Edit: But I liked the idea of 7 though.

Alduin, Mehrunes Dagon and the Sixth House were the worst threats to Tamriel. Alduin's done. The Sixth House is long gone. Mehrunes Dagon's minions are forever limited in visits to Nirn now.

The Neravarine left for Akavir and was never heard from again.

I think the Dovakhiin should follow him. Akavir is the dragon land, after all.

Here is what I want.

I want to see a new area ( I don't care where. ) and I want it to have a story and a huge questline to go with it. Along with it's own "Main Quest" I want Misc objectives ( Bounties and things like that ) that are generated at Inns and cities, if there are those. And I want side quest as well ( sort of like how the Shivering Isles had Side quests ) The quests should have choices and not be linear. I want to see a variety of new weapons and armors. All types. I want to see unique weapons and armors as well. More spells, summons, recipes, dragon shouts as well.

Also, a giant mansion much bigger than any house in Skyrim with about 3-4 weapons racks, plaques, 5 mannequins, multiple chests, butler, alchemy, smithing, enchanting places. Display Cases...
Yeah, pretty much the ultimate house

Trevor: And maybe a couple quests to go along with it? In oblivion, Skingrads Manor had 2 quests that were only available once you purchased the home.

If they are going to do another daedric relm personally I would like to meet Sithis in the void.

Sithis isn't a Daedra.

Heres to all you DB and Sithis Haters

Now this is where you guys are wrong if you downloaded the Dark Brotherhood house for Oblivion they give you a shrine of Sithis in your basemant that gave you sneek bonuses and spoke to you not to mention the night mother lives in the void as in her existance conferms his and if you do their quest and somon their DB Ghost he comes from the void and talks(alot) about serving Sithis...so basically he exists....AND BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!!!

They say he is as shapeless and formless as the void he is death, however he made the night mother(Ie. brought her back to life in her current form) and according to her lore, he gave her 5 children like an evil St.Marry, and then he TOLD her to kill them and she did. The verious DB ghosts mention serving "our dread father in the void" So yes I have done my homework however he talks throught the statue in oblivion the one in the DB House. And to quote Todd Howard "We can do anything we just can't do everything"
Just sayin Bethesda is bassically god to this game if they wanna do it they'll find a way so honestly nothing is off the table. I just hope they give us DB fans something more Sithis or no, I just think it would be cool if they gave us something good.

Oh and you may want to find a little book called Sithis it tells the story of how he phyiscally created the world and the Daedra and Adra if you belive that anyway. but I personly would say that if you look hard enough you can find proof of his existance.

One thing I definitely want is for weapons and armor to have durability again. This would give me more chances to level up my smithing skill and a reason to keep going to the forge after I have the best armor possible. Right now there's no reason to go to a forge after you make daedric or dragon armor unless you have some extra ore and want to make some money.

As long as it's as big as the Shivering Isles and has the Lycanthropy and vampire perk tree as seen in the Jam video I will be a happy boy

Unsure what stance you're taking there, but he's right; after all, you dont start at one month.
