I am totally lost and can't find my way back to where I was building (oops!). Is there a way to view a map of the world? I heard tell of some dynamap and was wondering how this is accessed.

Haven't played in a while, looking to do some single player. Are there any interest mods I should be looking at? I'm not hugely into building, more the exploration part.
Master!

Can't help ya all that much. I'm fairly new to Minecraft and unlike Oblivion don't run a wealth of mods. In fact almost all mine are performance enhancers like OptiFine or utilities to make mod loading easier such as Magic Launcher. The one "true" mod I run at present is Better Enchanting, since that's one of the few areas of the vanilla game I find lacking. Sadly, my texture pack of choice, Fancy Craft by JJJason hasn't been updated since Minecraft 1.1.

There's a quite interesting weapons mod that allows dual wielding, shields, burning torches in the left (?) hand and so on. Don't recall its name. (I don't yet use it.) Yogscast recently did a YouTube video of it in action.

Can someone tell me how to, if it's possible, to pump Dust from a Macerator into a Furnace? I can't figure it out.

So what are peoples favourite texture packs? I've gone to the minecraft forums texture pack section, but there are too many to look over.

Painterly, since I can pick any texture I want from a wide selection of textures.

John Smith, since I like its subdued colours and the textures are cleverly made to look higher res than they actually are.

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/732038-1286432-jjjas0ns-fancycraft-texturepack-11/. I like this one so well that I have not yet upgraded Minecraft beyond v1.1 so I can keep using it. I like it become while it is indeed "fancy" it is not "gimmicky" as some deluxe packs are.

I realize this is of little help to anyone since few are likely to still be running 1.1. Still, it's a nice pack and worth a look-see.

If I recall correctly the dust is pumped out through the left side of the macerator, that requires a wooden pipe (as that is the pipe used for extracting things) as well as a simple redstone engine to pull the dust into the pipe. The engine should be set up next to the pipe for it to work.

retroNES

It's based on the old NES colour set and uses a 16x16 pixel format and some images from old games like Megaman and Donald Duck to achieve "AWESOME!"

- Lol Why is my throw-up cobble-ruin-thingy "under investigation" with bedrock blocking the entrance. That's greifing :P

Hard to determine whether or not it was a trap near spawn to lure players to their untimely death, which is griefing. Someone just needed to touch base with you what was going on with it there.

I was gonna put a water lift there so I could do a spot of mining and create a chamber underneath.

I've a simple question (I hope) that for some reason is hard to track down. Armor Enchantment stacking. Say I have a helm with Protection II and boots with Protection III. When wearing both do these combine and give me a total Protection of V, or does only the Protection III piece count? (My diamond leggings just broke. I'd like to throw Protection III on their replacements (thanks Better Enchanting!) but already have one piece of Pro III gear. I'd hate to waste an enchantment and all the work it took to earn those experience points.)

If you're using a mod to modify the enchanting process, I'd reccomend asking on the mod's MCF thread. Vanilla enchants do not stack in terms of 2+3=5, but each enchanted piece reduces a certian percent of the damage taken in relation to how much Armor Rating the piece would provide, with the Protection enchant stacking on the individual piece. A low-level Protection enchant on a cuirass is comparable to a medium-level Protection enchant on, say, boots. Keep in mind that vanilla Protection transfers the reduced health injury to the armor, so it will degrade faster.
