What is Minecraft?

Minecraft is a creative sandbox game centered around exploration and survival; exploring and gathering resources allows you to protect yourself against a variety of beasties that hunt you down during the night. The creative sandbox elements of the game fuel your want to survive and gather, which in turn allow you to build many wonderful creations. Basic fluid physics also provide interesting means of creating basic machines.
The multiplayer is very similar to the single-player, just with more people and chat, TeamSpeak has also been implemented for both servers.

Tekkit is currenlty not whitelisted, but may soon change to forum registration whitelist.

Email mrtankjump -at- gmail -dot- com ,message 'mrtankjump' on Steam, or simply send a PM to mrtankjump if you have any issues accessing the server.

Colored Titles Explained:

Purple = Admin [Aedra]
Green= Moderator [Mod]
Yellow = Donator [Jarl]
Grey = Default [Citizen]

The cost of the new server is $75 monthly, due by the 6th of each month. Some really awesome people help support the costs each month. You can be awesome too: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_donations&business=F9AK9VK9NYXD4&lc=US&item_name=TESFan%20Server¤cy_code=USD&bn=PP-DonationsBF%3abtn_donateCC_LG.gif%3aNonHosted
Donators who use the same email address with paypal as is registered with the forum will become 'supporters' as labled on the forums and in game, automatically. Those who don't want to use the same email can simply contact mrtankjump with the details of your transaction and I will make it happen.

Due to an increase in donations, we can consider upgrading memory for another $25 monthly. This would give us 16GB total, and each server would be running on a ramdisk. Bar any network issues, chunk loading should be instant when on ramdisk. Let me know what y'all think, as long as the money can be put up for it each month, and it is something the community wants, I'll make it happen.

Work on my tower is coming along great, well it was until I hit an iron shortage.
If anyone feels like donating 30 something iron blocks I would be most pleased and may return some diamond in the exchange :)
- Might do a Dwemer based design since Elrond said it looked similar (maybe because of the gold usage)

To be fair, it's still only marginally more efficient than using wooden planks, so it's more of a gentle evolution than a revolution.

1 plank = 1.5 items smelted = 6 items per wood block.

1 charcoal = 7 items per wood block (8 items smelted for the charcoal, minus the cost to convert the wood to charcoal)
This is true, but I use so much fuel that over time, that effect starts to multiply. Plus it gives me an unlimited supply of torches.

To the person who built exactly by my villa's derrière (of all places), I'm going to keep building despite your presence since you basically went ahead and built in the middle of a large project.

Snip
LOKI! Thats is who your avatar is! (Been wondering this for a while)

Also in later news My tower may be complete by tonight or tomorrow depending on how much time I get after my driving lesson and if I find enough iron quickly. Though I might use Lapis/Diamond for this last part.

I have a question, where is that picture of Loki from? I always thought Loki was a figure in Norse mythology but he looks fairly modern in Terpy's avatar.

I hate when people do that. We have all this fricking space and they build right up your ass. It's why I'd taken to marking out the area I need with torches and pillars, because you just know someone is going to build as close as possible to that.

And usually it's someone who leaves a half finished building site there for months.

Where is this villa anyway?

That's why I move a good distance away from people/towns, but it has its disadvantages like when it comes to farming or other things that require the chunk to be loaded.

If I do do this it is usually just the roof or inside walls I leave off because I either hate the building or have lost interest - another reason I tend to build into mountains and burrow cave systems. :)

Oh, I thought so, I just couldn't make out where someone had built next to it.

The other building is behind it on the river ice.

He's up my behind as well. I'm further in that direction, the mini-Minas Tirith coming up, and he's gone and built right smack in the middle. Before him, Terpy and myself were quite well spaced, now we're all cramped up.

Well going by the sign which says "slimer5's home", you have your answer. But yeah, a dike move on his part IMO.

could do what i do/done, which is to build a tribute house in spawn town that you don't really use, build a farm system under it, while keeping your base and other projects out side of town.

I'd like to be untraceable on the dynmap. how would I get it to think that I'm underground? I've already put dirt and trees on my roof and coated the inside roof with stone, and my home is invisible, but I'm still showing up. Is there a specific height I have to be at to be considered underground?
