I am wondering if the expanions will take place in Morrowind. The gate to Morrowind I beleive, or is it another province not sure was open but the invisible wall stopped me from going through while the other gate that should lead to Cyrodill, the Imperial Province is closed, so that would say no DLC for that area. Not sure if there is any other gates since I didn't find them yet.

Could this be an indication of what will be new?

There are gates leading to Cyrodill, Hammerfell and Morrowind.

Hey guys! I'm trying to figure out whether this Kinect update has come out yet. Some in the U.S. says it has already and they're playing it now. Have you guys been able to access it yet? If you have do you have to click something in options to make it work? Do you guys know if you have to download it from the marketplace as DLC? If so how much is it? If it's NOT out yet do any of you know what day it's going to be out yet? Please keep me updated! I'll keep playing every day until it becomes available and I'll post how it all works when I get there. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I'm taking it that nobody has the update yet? I'm also kind of curious; do you have to stand up and turn too or can you just do voice commands? Do you know? Again, I appreciate it.

I am currently working on a mod to build a dwemer city underground to some extent... though it doesn't exactly look like the 2 examples you gave, it does incorporate the idea of mechanical automations maintaining a couple of levels of the city... and they only stopped working slightly before people came to explore,

A blog of my work on it to this point, updated weekly

I can definitely see automations being custodians of a sort!

Hopefully it's taking longer just because they want a bug free launch, or it's going to be huge. They know they're going to make millions. I bet about 90% of people who bought the game have no intention of selling it back, and close to that percentage is waiting to buy the first thing they throw at us.

The wait for new content is killing me. I want to start a new character, but what if I make one who invest in light armor perks and then this new badass looking heavy armor comes out? Or something relatively silmiar. That would be pretty lame.

You can try what I tried - go with a character with two handed weapon - and no magic at all.

I am hoping they dont just wait along time for one big DLC package but rather put several smaller ones over time so I can pick and select which ones I want. Even DLC to give the bards all additional songs to pick could be fun or just allow us to marry some of the bards in the bars :) Lisette is still waiting for me to propose - hell, allow us to equip our spouses with equipment - as it is I cant even buy a necklace for the wife.

If they rehash old material with new DLC, I will not buy it.
I've been to Morrowind, I don't need to see it again.
I've been to the Shivering Isle, I don't need to go again.

In fact, I will be seriously disapointed if the DLC is anything other then a continuation or elaboration on events already taking place in Skyrim. They left it so unfinished and vague that if its not continued, I'll find it very hard to justify purchasing later titles in the series, because frankly the depth of this title is fast approaching that of "The Sims".
The GTA series of games has more story and evolution then Skyrim has.

So for me, the DLC needs to address this or the series is simply over for me.

Something I would like to see is Dragon Taming:

Right now the dragons at the word walls on the world map don't give souls when they're killed after the initial time. I'd like the ability to beat them, but not kill them. Instead, they submit to the Dragonborn. Whenever you're in the area and are attacked by something/someone, there's a ten percent chance that the dragon roosting nearby will come to your aid.

Shivering Isles was a pretty big expansion, and I highly doubt that Bethesda will be making all their DLC a similar size. We might get one or maybe two massive expansion type DLCs, but I think Todd was mostly referring to Oblivions horse-armor, houses, and NotN as examples of what Skyrims DLC will be larger than.

I can't provide any link for confirmation, but I've read many posters say that Bethesda/Todd howard claim they will try to make the DLC in similar size to Fallout3's DLC,

todd said that they weren't gonna make a bunch of dlc's like fallout but were going to make less but bigger dlc's like the shivering isles. and then after the big dlc's are all finished that they would releas a few small things like the houses and and quest line dlcs like kotn and the merunes razor quest line

This. To quote UESP: "Fans can expect expansion-pack-sized DLC similar to what Bethesda did with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallout_3. To ease the wait between the sizable releases, an unknown number of smaller expansions will see the light of day, starting with the newly released http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Fall_of_the_Space_Core,_Vol_1 expansion." I predict the addition of Orsinium, it is small, borders skyrim and would bring more depth to another race besides the nords. And i bet the Orcs have an arena

I think they recently said that the dlc will be about the size of Point Lookout for Fallout 3. I never played Point Lookout. Exactly how big is that?

I think I remember getting about 20 - 25 hours of gameplay out of Point Lookout.

I doubt it's DLC related - probably a never-before-seen Daggerfall cover or something.
I'm not sure how I'd feel about a High Rock DLC, actually. On one hand, we've already been there and I'd much rather see somewhere new. On the other hand, it'd be nice to see how the other province of the Empire (excluding Cyrodiil) is faring after the Great War.

You were in High Rock with the new engine ? I don't think so.
