I was.

Actually the tabard isn't that hard to get anymore. It drops from the non-elite mobs that appear after Herod is dead, just make sure you get the kill for them all. As a DK it shouldn't be a problem, just use D&D. If none of them drop it then just try again, you'll get it eventually.

I recently leveled a druid, well, I didn't recently level him - I leveled a LONG time ago, like, mid WOTLK, during my guilds progression through ulduar, hit 80 then, but didn't TOUCH him until 3 weeks ago for some reason. I literally had *no* gear, all quest blues and greens. And now he has a 5.1k gearscore and does 6k dps in 25 mans.
Here he is, you can add him to the list of my characters if you want.
His gear is nothing really special, one ICC10 weapon, I got it on a guild 10 man alt run, we did it after our mains 10 man run killed Putricide, just for the lawls.

I couldn't care less about Ensidia...I'm tired of hearing about them to be honest, they're just a guild with to much time on their hands, playing that much isn't fun, it becomes a full time job.

Don't those Ensidia guys have a sponsor? Wonder if they get docked for that ban. Anyways I got my priest to 80 and taking a month or so break from playing. I have a few more alts in the 70's that I just can't bring myself to play. Leveling in Northrend without a flying mount is a pain.

These are the ones I'll be working on if I ever feel the urge to get back into the mix.

Well, the thing is, it IS their job, and they get paid for it. They are paid to appear at Warcraft events sporting certain things and using certain comps. And paid pretty well.

Apparently they didn't notice that the Saronite Bombs were restoring the platform on the 25man Lich King fight when they hadn't restored it in the 10 man version. They had at least 3 attempts beforehand on the 25man encounter and even knew that the bombs were causing a bug. (One of their mages mentions it on a blog on their website).

They carried on regardless that they had bugged the fight, which trivialises it. (apparently, I obviously haven't done the fight yet, never mind got to it)

It's not the first time either. Ensidia is known for going out of their way to use clever uses of game mechanics to kill bosses first for world first, and have been banned more than once before.

What was the exploit they used on Vashj? I remember hearing they exploited the fight, but not how/what they did.

Depends on how you define best. In terms of sinking the maximum number of hours into the game and doing everything first, then yeah, they're the best. However, I would never want to join them, or any guild like that where it's demanded that I dedicate myself fully to it. I play it to have fun, not to work. I'm not saying you shouldn't have to work for the best stuff, but when WoW becomes a job it's no longer fun.

In my opinion, Muscles for Hire is the worlds best guild, as all my wow-playing real life friends except one are in that guild, along with many other great people.

I always download and install the entire game off the WoW site. No disc hassle and I can just run it straight through the night (6 gigs is a lot) and the next morning I'm good to go.

What would be the best solo class, or can they all be solo?

Last but not least, can you still get pretty decent armor being solo or does it all svck unless you raid?

Welcome to the world of WoW. Is warrior a good DPS class? Yes, but they're not the best DPS in raids. PvP is another matter, they are very dangerous in PvP.

Is it a mandatory tank? They are arguably the best tank class in WoW, but paladins, death knights and druids can tank very well too. If you party up and enter dungeons when you're levelling people will probably expect you to tank.

Best solo warrior class for levelling is probably protection. You'll kill things a bit slower than arms or fury, but with protection your survivability will be much better. I levelled as arms because I liked running around with a giant two-handed axe or sword. Ultimately it''s down to personal preference. However, if you want to level really fast then spec protection and put yourself down as a tank when you're using the dungeon finder, you'll find groups almost instantly.

You can still get fairly decent armor if you're soloing. If you get enough gold you can buy upgrades from the auction house. However, the best rewards are usually to be found either in dungeons which you'll need to group for, or at the end of quest chains which often need 2 or 3 people to complete the objectives. The absolute best gear is only found in the end-game raids, however you can pick up some nice epic items from the auction house or you can make them yourself with blacksmithing.

A warrior can DPS or tank, I've seen plenty of both. You'll be appreciated more if you tank though. (I wouldn't worry until you hit 80 though, stick with whatever you like).

All classes have at least one spec (You pick this at level 10, I think) that is good for soloing, all classes can do it well although some are better than others in my opinion. Hunter springs to mind...


You can get decent armour without raiding but you still have to find groups for it. Dungeons and instances are like small raids consisting of 5 men that usually take around 30-45 minutes to complete. They don't give as good as raids do but it's still usually much better than all the solo stuff you can pick up. You can also buy some pretty cheap and sometimes decent stuff off the AH now while you're levelling. I've found the cost of BOE blues and epics to have dropped alot since I levelled.

Thanks for the info. Sneakmaster, when I was talking about classes that can solo best, I meant out of all of them, but if all have the ability to solo then that works.

Do I have the ability to change from DPS class to tank, or when I pick that spec am I stuck with it? Cause if I do decide to group up and do one of the smaller dungeons I might tank.
