Oh well, always got my backup sword. I wonder how different power attacks and stuff like that will work. Not to mention blocking.

Now they just gotta make horses not svck so much.

- Give horses a longer sprint time. Current sprint time is pathetic.
- Make the default trot faster.

Now I regret shouting shadowmere off of the throat of the world...

Shadowmere does not die as far as I know. Just keeps popping up outside of town after death.

Like I said in my already-locked thread, ranged combat could be improved a lot by:

- Providing first person riding. It was possible in Oblivion, so it should be possible in Skyrim. There is an incentive to implement it now as well.
- Disabling mouse steering at least when aiming with a ranged weapon. Shooting someone who is to the sides of your horse is a pain right now.

If anyone wants proof that such controls would be a vast improvement, try out Mount & Blade's horse archery.

I haven't had any yet. They may happen for bow and arrow, but I doubt they'll have melee ones.

It does look awesome. Nice shot
Fun fact, since I had to hold W to go forward, and left mouse to hold up the sword, I took that screenshot with my nose.

Video coming soon guys! I just recorded a bunch, I'll throw it together and upload it ASAP!

That could be sweet; crushing someone under hooves and stuff like that. Can't wait to try it out.

So glad I'm with PC for Skyrim.

Ranged and Melee mounted combat.... but magic was to much to ask.

Magic is ranged you know.

Does a staff work as a "melee" weapon for mounted combat?

Nope. I was unable to use magic or a staff.

Mounted combat is pretty cool, but I can't seem to cast spells while on horseback. Did they forget to implement mounted spellcasting or... was it left out on purpose?

That's why I have my screenshot key binded to the full stop at the lower right corner of the keyboard. So I can reach it with my left thumb. :P

I should figure out how to just bind it to my mouse though, it has some extra buttons.

Considering we didn't even have mounted combat until essentially a few hours ago, isn't that good enough for now?

Also, yay! The community asked for a feature, and they got it. :) Though, I wonder how long it will take people to start whining about it...?
