Vampire Lord is Marcus

I vaguely remember bits and pieces of that one. It's been a while since I seen it. I have yet to see the the first two Underworlds and I will never watch any of those twilight movies.
First Underworld is mildly bearable..the other two are..ugh quality.

Salems Lot is a good vampire movie...imo.

I though all the underworld were quite good, except the 3d one, It was horrible.
Rise of the lycan was excellent.

New one's good. Really good. But I'm that guy who loves every movie with the Underworld logo on it, so you can take that with a grain of salt.

I think the Underworld movies are okay, mainly because Kate Beckinsale is beautiful, but the whole vampires vs werewolves doesn't make sense to me in general but those movies have a good story behind it. I would watch those if you get the chance. I am not sure why everyone hates Twilight, I have seen the movies and yes it is stupid that they sparkle in the sun, but it is an original idea. I like the idea too of how the shapeshifters protect the humans from vampires that was cool. People only hate Twilight because whenever someone mentions vampires they think it is the first thing people think of. If no one liked Twilight people wouldn't care about how it "butchered" vampires.

Not sure if its been said but the Vamp lord looks almost identical to how it looked in the DICE game jam video. Based on that, I assume it was created by one dev. in a relaxed, 'do-what-you-want-at-work' week and there was a chance it would never see the light of day again, so they probably didn't spend a lot of time making it look original.

I will admit Twilight is stupid that they say that Jacob and them are werewolves because they are shapeshifters, werewolves do exist in that universe.

The Twilight series just seems to have that teen movie feel. Now the True Blood series is quite the fav of mine.

Still, the images and mechanics we all have about Vampires is all brought forth by books and film of others, no matter the age of era.

It does, and it doesn't makes sense that a vampire that is over 100 would repeat high school with a bunch of immature teens, I am 18 and hated being around high school students.

I agree with this, Bethesda takes their inspiration for their vampires from books and films throughout the ages.

Underworld's Vampire Lord is real life and looks crappy. Skyrim's looks much smoother. So they "ripped them off" doesn't mean it's going to completely ruin the experience.

That is a wonderful attitude to have. there are others that could take on this feeling towards the issue, myself included.

With all due respect, I disagree.

There's not neccesarily anything wrong with ripped-off content, but at the same time, do you really wanna ENCOURAGE it? I mean new content vs. cliché content, I think 99% of the public would agree creating something new is better. You don't have to rip Bethesda a new one for ripping an idea off, but don't go thanking them either.

Well when you do not age I don't think that makes a difference. But yes it is rather pedophileish that he likes a high school girl.

More like VERY pedophilish wtf.

I remember when I was like 18 or 19 I would get hit on by 13-14 year old girls and it was just friggin WEIRD. They're like kids, cept they're kids that know what six is. No way anyone could sincerely be attracted to that.

I'm not thanking them for rippin' the exact copy of a movie character. I don't like anymore than the next guy, but we can still look at the glass as half full and be thankful that we at least have extra content. There is a lot more to this than a giant Imp.

Agreed.

I don't want to derail the thread anymore, but when my cousin was in 7th grade he had a girl in his class that was pregnant... She was like 12 or something like that, what the hell has society turned to?

Vampire lords is nothing new to vampire lore and sure the hell wasn't invented by underworld. Bram stoker's Dracula was written in the late 1800's (1897) and Duracula turned into a vampire lord in that. You can also see the 1992 film version's interpretation of this. Fact of the matter the strigoi is nothing new to lore, I remember using strigoi vampire lords in the early 90's in warhammer the table top game. I couldn't be happier how the vampire lord looks and thank the devs for staying close to lore and not going with sparkles and new age vampires.

Edit: removed link but there are a few pics of Lord Harkon floating around on the net in vampire form.

I think it may be because...he is the leader and therefore strongest and oldest Volkihar?

Or it may be lighting.

..and I think someone broke their agreement with Bethesda...by far.

Lord Harkon appears to be very "Affably" evil, like how a vampire should be :)
