Visual Novels Thread

I'll be having a go at Clannad next month. :smile:
I didnt think it was all in english, I would try it, but I hear its 200 hours... I dont think I could read a VN that long.

Also wouldnt knowing what hapens in the anime spoil alot of it for you ?

Anime adaptions usually don't cover the full story in the VN, at least not thoroughly.

Hmm well I ordered the Steins gate VN a while ago, I may watch the anime after that, to see how they compare.

Hmm well I ordered the Steins gate VN a while ago, I may watch the anime after that, to see how they compare.

First thing I saw of KNS was its cover art. Knew that it wasn't going to be sunflowers and puppies :D

I tend to take things as they come though.

Finished my first playthrough of anologue with ending #2. I liked it, a short but unique little game, I'll have to try for some more endings later.

As Ratslayer said, the story always has to make concessions when it's ported from the VN to anime. For instance, I know Akio's persona/role is played by another (extra) character in the VN. I'm curious about the differences.

I was able to find an unofficial English patch, so I'll be able to play the thing without having to devote 2000 hours to translation. ;)
