Yea, its about time for a new computer. Dont know what I want to buy this time round. Dont think I have the knowledge to build one myself but my XPS has had problems since the day I bought it, and alienwear is too overpriced.

You dont need to buy a new computer, i spent ￡200 upgrading my rig and it plays FNV on ultra high with no lag or problems

Oh well, as fun as watching these waiting-for-release threads is, i think i'll go actually play the game for a while now. While leaving Steam store page open in another monitor with automatic reload every 10 minutes :hehe:

And the funny part is i baught a PS3 to go with my Gaming rig incase there was a dry spell in PC games..
Things to do while i wait.
Nvidia driver ? EVGA update// check.
blow dust out of GTX275/cpu / ram heat sincs. check.
go collect a bunch of scrap and make couple extra thousand caps.. check.
138 hours played my "DLC" character sitting in Novac
My second run character at Forlorn science/repair..
trying to think of productive post material.. FAIL
MAn i hope this hits soon.. i might do laundry..FRAG ME NOW!!!!

I bought mine about 4 years ago and has a 3.0 duo core. Not much can be upgraded unless I am going to completely rebuild the thing, which i may do.

built a core i7 920 X58 box.
upgrade to Octet down the road this board will last.. SLi/Xfire MSI X58 platinum.
Corsair TX750 12v rail.
there are so many goodies out there for builders right now and the economy has prices down.
480 will be my next upgrade but this 275 runs everything without a hiccup
6 Gigs Mushkin DDR3 1333 tri channel
O ya.. Win 7/64
Raidmax Sagitta
umm about it.
the 275 has the 295 chip just 1 of 2 but is really quit powerful. for 230 bucks im not complaining.

Build one yourself. it's not hard and you'll be so happy. If you do it yourself you can get way more for way less than Alienware.

Build one yourself. it's not hard and you'll be so happy. If you do it yourself you can get way more for way less than Alienware.

don;t pay for a name pay for HARDWARE BABY!!! that cool case and name does not increase FPS a bit. but the hundreds you will save do pay for a nice card

Has anyone figured out why? Does it clear out some sort of junk data?

I remember reading about why in the hardware section, It has something to do with static cells but that is all i remember.
