Waiting for DLC, Part 2

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:20 pm

Think of it this way, the xbox people get to playtest it and find all bugs :brokencomputer: so Obsidian/Bethesda can fix it for us PC people. lol :user:

only if that was true i hope we get a new patch with HH because 1.3 makes my game ctd on loading to a new place lol so if they are letting the xbox peeps playtest it they better fix what ever is wrong with it :)

Why do they always tend to xbox first. Sorry ass companies. "The three packs will be released simultaneously for the Xbox 360? video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation?3 computer entertainment system, and Windows-based PCs" ....MY ASS

I never use steam really. NV is the only one. I think it's a wasteful platform. They never get anything right.

Yep pretty much, steam always is late with every release, every time...but at least you can see an hourly counter for the pre order games, and just be glad you didnt buy it on playstation :foodndrink:

Well, while we are waiting here, might as well jump on the bash Steam bandwagon. NV is my first experience with Steam. I'm still trying to figure out what value it brings. All I see are problems and users having to deal with an unorganized third party. Yes, you CAN blame Bethesda because they made this deal with Steam, obviously for their own needs, not to serve ours.

Yeah, I see it as just DRM for bethesda/obsidian, but steam does make a good hub for multiplayer games in its defense, its just too bad fallout cant really make use of that, and some may say its good for mass patch releases, but ive never had a problem doing that on my own

And don't forget the one magic thing PC's have that consoles don't....the tilde key. And, yeah, props to all modders. Great stuff for NV being created.

Meh, I have always played Fallout for what it is. I never needed any silly mods to enjoy the game.

Steam is the jerk that won't let me play the uncensored US version. :flame:

I'm a dual citizen living in Germany, and whenever I try to play a game here, it automatically downloads the German version. Even if I manage to download the English one, it forbids me from playing it. I don't think it's such a big deal for New Vegas (unless if you absolutely love watching body parts fly everywhere) as they've gotten more lenient, but Fallout 3's german version censored EVERYTHING. I was amazed the first time I saw a video of Jericho online and I realized his personality was actually that of a foul-mouthed badass. The German version censors him down to a tired old man who only curses once. I have nothing against censorship, but when they're literally rewriting an entire character's personality, that's bull****.

If it weren't for Steam, I could just make sure I buy the game while I'm in the US, but noooooo...
