Waiting for DLC, Part 2

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 8:47 am

This is pretty [censored]. The release date of the DLC is 17th May. In 90 mins time, it will no longer be 17th May for me. This is total and utter fail. Bethesda is the publisher and they have full control over when Steam puts the [censored] DLC up. Where the [self-censored] is it? Gstaff said he was going to check like over an hour ago? What's the outcome? Lemme guess, THEY'RE ALL SLEEPING AND THEY DON'T CARE?! [self-censored]!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not surprised there's a problem with the DLC being available

Its official. What BethOb meant by release of 5/17 was of 2012. Or....Duke Nukem Forever.

Seriously, its electronic media. it should be released at 12am across the board for all platforms in all time zones.

If it is in fact an issue on Stream's end perhaps Gabe needs to put the donuts down and fix it.

On the contrar, there is a just reason for being so frustrated. I own a Ps3 (lol) and as you are aware, that has already given me a 3 weeks of NOT playing online, and instead I have been going out and having a life which is rather dull...On top of that, this DLC was the only thing I was looking forward too and now that its the release date and its nowhere in sight is pushing me to the point of buying an X-plode Box...

Value has been like this for years. They release the games accordingly to their time zone.

Yes, it's called VST, or Valve Standard Time.

Rofl at the ps3 player the one thing you can look forward to is knowing that when you get the DLC itll be thoroughly* i cant spell* glitch tested and you shouldnt have to worry about a thing apart from the problems you have already

But not for Dead Money. That was released on Steam at like 1 a.m. Pacific Time.

Ain't it just called Valve Time? There's also Reverse Valve Time but let's not get into that...

------------

I think the fact that Honest Hearts doesn't even have a download page, when Dead Money had one a week or so before release, makes me believe that this isn't coming out until the regular time when everything else FNV-related comes out, which is around 1pm - 3pm PST... if we're lucky.

This.

Do yourselves a favor, if you haven't already: go to Nexus and take a gander at the top 100, maybe download New Vegas Bounties or Project Nevada or some gamechanger. You'll be pleased with the results, I'm sure.

And A World of Pain (AWOP). It adds 95 new locations and a bunch of new quests. Good stuff.

Well on the bright side:

At least we still have time before NVSE gets outdated so we may as well be playing before all of our NVSE-related mods, which is, for me, a good 30% - 40% of the mods I have installed, go out of whack.

But it shouldn't get outdated, the last patch was in preparation of HH, and for that NVSE has been patched already.

Was it? I thought it was just for the reasons they stated. Didn't pertain to anything HH-related from what I've heard.

If I do think about it though, if you factor out the fact that the .esm got updated, which is in essence, 99% of Patch 1.3, then that would leave the update size about the same as the Dead Money patch.. I think.
