Thanks Press z i'm glad you and a few others understand my point is really just to point out that Bethesda could be exploring way more interesting things in Tes Lore that have been lingering in the Background waiting to be opened for more than 10 years. And to the guy who said kid? lol I've been playing since Redguard.

Well i think vampires in tes deserves more love :/
And i am wondering right now,I am starting to think that dawnguard will not have a new landmass that you can explore and get side quests etc,But well, more focus on the main quest on the story?
Anyway i am excited for dawnguard. And i am still wondering about future DLCs :)

Dragons cliched? Yes
Dragons boring? Not in my books.

Vampires cliched? Yes
Vampires boring? Not in my books.

While my playthroughs of Oblivion, I didn't like being a vampire. I've not even tried vampirism in Skyrim, and I hadn't planned on it. However, after seeing the trailer for Dawnguard, I'm liking the idea of it. I might even make a new character specificly for becoming a vampire.

I know some might not like the idea of having vampire-focused DLC, but then you're not forced to buy it. And it's pretty safe to bet that this won't be the only DLC, so you never know what they might give us.

Thanks for your opinion. In my, opinion, vampires are far more interesting than anything else.

I'll be brief, but vampires deserved a little bit of touching up and flair. In comparison to their polar opposite, the werewolf, they really needed a quest-line to build on their BA factor. Skyrim is home to one of the most dangerous vampire clans, I'm not too sure we're going to be exploring the land as a member of that clan; but, come on, vampires need a little bit of love and it's completely appropriate given the conditions.

I don't mind that this dlc revolves around vampires.

I am glad to see this as a DLC if for no other reason than I want a monster/abomination hunting faction to join. But no worries to the OP, there will be plenty more DLC in the future, im sure. In the meantime let some run around and chew on people's faces while others either avoid it all or like me run around and stab vamps in the face.

For a DLC that isn't even out yet, your opinion is invalid.

There is always one who is just never satisfied. Can you not already accept that you are lucky enough to have access to the game and the internet? Think about the others who can't even afford bread.

Grow up, and wait.

It's not what the plot is entirely, it's how it's done that makes the difference. The most generic and overdone plot can still be very good if it's excecuted well, just saying.

Besides, this may be the first time vampires in TES are fully fleshed out and have weight to them. It looks fun does it not?

My opinion is still that there are major elements to the DLC that have not yet been revealed. I personally believe that they would not have jumped the gun and released this trailer before E3 if they did not have other exciting aspects to announce at E3. Considering that they had previously used Dawnguard to hype up their E3 presence, it would be counterproductive to release this trailer a week ahead if they did not have other Dawnguard info to release at E3.
Excuse my ignorance  , but what is E3  ?

It's a major trade show that's occuring next week. Originally, Bethesda told us that Dawnguard information would be released at E3, and IIRC, they are still saying that we will get more information there. Game companies like to use major shows as platforms to make big announcements, show off big projects, etc., because it gives them a big audience.

I'm not saying Vampires aren't cool but i would really like a Dlc that explores Things like Lorkhan/Shor or the Dwemer .
Vampires just seem very cliche and i never liked their involvement in Oblivion. I liked them in Morrowind However.
But really if speculation about the second DLC Heartfire is true it will involve Necromancy my god NO! i wan't a dlc that explores the great mythology of the Tes fiction.
This is their first dlc. Think of it as a KoTN with a much better SI equivalent on the way at a later date.

E3 is on the day Xbox live gets updated. Maybe they will release it on the day. *crosses fingers* They will probably have playable demos, if not a walkthrough of a mission.

Yes, I believe that journalists have been allowed to sign up for a 30 minute gameplay demo, though I don't remember where I read that, so take it with a grain of salt.

Vampires and Werewolves aren't really my thing but, there are obviously people who enjoy them and I'm glad ... for the Vampire crowd ... that they're getting something they want.

I'm sure there will be things I like in the DLC and, if nothing else, some more spots to explore.

And as others have said, there will be more DLCs.

I heard that too. Recently rumours have had a habit of becoming true, so there probably will be a demo.

I think a story-line focused around vampires is refreshing. It gives bethesda the ability to remake a previously bad build in tes and allows some further experimentation with darker content instead of the hero role. They've also got tons of sources to pull new and future dlc from that will most definitely focus on other areas of the tes universe, so almost certainly other dlcs will contain other aspects of lore, we only have to wait and see what bethesda announces in the future. Either way I'm relived they finally announced information on dlc.

I'd like to see a dlc based around Jyggalag, I'm a bit disappointed he isn't even mentioned in Skyrim...I want that Order armor.

Its actually not farfetched, I can definitely hear bethesda saying go on to xbox live today and download dawnguard.

Vampires have never been the focus of my fascination -- but when I saw the trailer for Dawnguard I couldn't help but feel that this DLC is going to be awesome. Not only does it look like we're going to have an interesting and engaging story, but it MIGHT just be that we'll be able to make choices with consequences this time around.
