I want more Interesting things as DLC.

I'm not saying Vampires aren't cool but i would really like a Dlc that explores Things like Lorkhan/Shor or the Dwemer .
Vampires just seem very cliche and i never liked their involvement in Oblivion. I liked them in Morrowind However.
But really if speculation about the second DLC Heartfire is true it will involve Necromancy my god NO! i wan't a dlc that explores the great mythology of the Tes fiction.

Vampires are a needed focus for DLC just like werewolves once was for the Bloodmoon DLC. No longer will Vampires take the backseat in The Elder Scrolls Games!

What did you like about Vampires in Morrowind? Is it possible that they could do Vampires in a way you like in Dawnguard?

Also, don't forget that those Snow Elf and Snow Elf Prince files were found in the patches. Its still possible that we will get Falmer related content that expands on TES lore.

Sorry the Dwemer are dead?
Sorry we can't explore every bit of fiction you're interested in?
Alternatively you could go work for Bethesda and become their lead add-on designer and take things in an arguably equally bad direction.

IMO, ANY add-on is better than NO add-on.

This!

We had to svck it up and deal with dragons being the main theme of Skyrim! Now the vampires get in the spotlight! If anynone doesn't like it, they can kick rocks into a ditch and stay there.

Not all are dead.
So you'd like a story focused around the one remaining Dwemer, who may or may not be alive since the time of Morrowind.

My opinion is still that there are major elements to the DLC that have not yet been revealed. I personally believe that they would not have jumped the gun and released this trailer before E3 if they did not have other exciting aspects to announce at E3. Considering that they had previously used Dawnguard to hype up their E3 presence, it would be counterproductive to release this trailer a week ahead if they did not have other Dawnguard info to release at E3.

Not all are dead.

There's only a very, very, very small amount left. There was that one fat guy in Morrowind, and I'm not sure about any others.

I personally dont like vampires... SO I like this DLC, because it gives a focus on the vampire hunting and killing , as my character is a Servant of Azura .

Really dude? im not being rude to you or anybody else , im just stating Vampires are not really that interesting. Exploring more interesting Tes lore like the Dwemer , Daedra and the gods is.
My problem is with you presenting certain things as being intrinsically interesting or not. It's all cliche. What matters is how it is executed. You're ignoring this, possibly because you did not articulate your problems well. I don't like people calling things I enjoy cliche and uninteresting for no reason.

Hi you three! Do hope you're doing just fine.

Well, vampires certainly don't appeal to me either and I haven't changed my mind over the recent footage. I dislike the art direction and animations aren't looking any good, as though we'd just reverted back to the good old days of Oblivion animatronics. Of course, these are first impressions, but then again, trailers are supposed to showcase the very best in the game. As for myself, I'd like sound storytelling, new landmass, new locations and gameplay improvements. For 20 bucks, about one third of the original price tag, I expect nothing less. And like mysef and many others have said, this is the first of a series of DLC. Let's hope Beth gets Vampires and werewolves and what not out of the way in the first packs and saves the suculent morsels for last. Plus, we're not through with info on Dawnguard. Surprises might be on the way.

I wanted a more interesting post. I guess I shall have to tolerate things not working out for me.

I'm sure you're having a bad hair day, as otherwise nothing, certainly nothing in the quite poite OP, justifies this kind of reply. It reflects upon you and you can pretty much gather which adverb I would choose to finish this sentence up. That was totally uncalled for and this thread will of course welcome your written apology.

Opinion is opinion is opinion.
You're entitled to yours, and so is he.
And so am I

Do you really believe the OP and that snorty remark are equivallent? Can you not see the difference? Political Correctness can get unhealthy.

Presenting his criticism as intrinsic was insulting to me. And your spelling is also insulting to me. Don't you have the respect for your fellow human to communicate accurately and with clarity?

A whole DLC dedicated to vampires in which they're the stereotypes villains. Can't say I'm happy. I'll skip this as I skipped Knights of the Nine; I hope that what will come next will expand the game to include events post Skyrim crisis, the dieing empire and the situations in the neighbor lands.

Hi evilknick! Good to see you bothered to eply. Thank you.

Please do forgive my terrible typing skills. I keep hunting for typos but somehow they keep eluding me. So, you're not having a bad hair day after all. We're getting the real persona. There's a fair chance Bethesda will execute this cliché in a fairly non-clichéd manner, and I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Dawnguard. Maybe they're saving some surprises for later. This however does not bode well for the storytellig, the fact they went along with a cliché. Let's wait and see. Lastly, if you feel insulted by involuntary typos and that honest OP, it might be advisable to evaluate your degree of sensitivity. I bid you good day, Sir.

Cliche? Ha, these kids, man. Sure, dragons were not cliche at all. And they were the main theme of Skyrim.

Doods relax!

The thing is going to cost 20 bucks, Beth have said that for Skyrim they want BIG expansion DLCs, this thing is being released ages after the game, far longer than pretty much any other first dlc for any other game.

Do the math.

It's going to be big... Probably far bigger than any DLC they've done for TESV or FO3 so I'm sure the vamps Vs DawnGuard is the MQ of the dlc, but there will be plenty of other sidequests and stuff to see and do and loot and kill and... you get it.

You couldn't join Umaril in KotN though.

And as you said earlier, prophetic heroes. Seems we have those in every game nowadays.

Just glad to get away from the dragon theme (hopefully). Also, maybe we'll get vampires that make sense this time.. you know who gets stronger by drinking blood instead of weaker.
