Damn! Beat me to it. And here I thought I could somehow make up for not being able to afford a pledge. :cryvaultboy:

No, you get a choice between the shirt or the poster and coin. I'm torn right now, the poster is awesome and I like T-shirts.
I'm kind of torn, I'd rather have a t-shirt than a poster, but I really want that coin.

Q&A with Brian Fargo and Avellone on Reddit.

Developers without PR guys breathing down their necks! Was plenty of good comments in there. Though, I didn't read even half of them. There's way too many. I'm surprised by Avellone's attitude towards Bethesda's take on Fallout. It's a lot more positive than you would think.

Thanks for the link. Excited for the game. Wish I could donate. Course you, financial poverty. CURSE YOU!

You're welcome.

I guess the only way to make up for it is by pledging. :P

Avellone replied to me on the AMA. Though I really didn't say much for him to reply to, it was still cool. The AMA is stoll going on as far as I know.

Gameplay. I am disappointed with myself. I can play Daggerfall with ease (not the oldest game I've played, but the hardest in comparison to others to get the ball going).

See, i was enjoying the gameplay to a reasonable extent, my problem was that my laptop decided to go and crash every damn time i went from the game itself to my word document full of dialogue. Pretty frustrating.

The Scorpitron looks awesome!

It's a freaking robot scorpion. What do you want? Wild WIld West steam punk?

Edit
The original one looks like its stepped out of the 80's transformer. It's just as much sci fi in other ways than looking gritty.

I liked this bit from the Reddit Q&A:

I think you can get a lot more imaginative when the constraints are tighter - as an example, in Fallout 1, the "stupid" dialogue options didn't require any huge leap in engine technology or the latest video card to enhance the RPG experience.

Clever writing and interesting game mechanics trump graphics and effects every time.

...annnnd say that in a publisher pitch meeting, and you can hear a pin drop. The marketing guys will simply leave.
/facepalm

That's why we need this Kickstarter model to take off...

Yeah when I read that I finally got confirmation from a dev that what is usually said on the forums about publishers is true.

I could pretend that I know the merits and cons of that engine, but I'll just say - yay one step closer to seeing the game in action!

I always find it interesting when potential engines are being speculated, always gives me a slightly better idea of how the game will look! :D Sadly I can't say I know much about this engine either, except from that tech-demo on YouTube. But any info regarding Wasteland 2 is interesting!

I do have to say the DX11 stress test video, not sure if that's the one you are referring to, was pretty cool.

Which is? Which critter you referring to?

Say take away the background, would you immediately call it a wasteland scorpitron? It looks facinating itself, but doesn't seem to go with the theme.

I hope Brian takes some ideas from FO3/NV. Would help make this game even better.

Oh that thing. Don't you find it very out of place? Even though it's made by Obsidian. The only part of that thing that went well was the pincers.
