Well I had my opening monologue all ready to open (probably much to many ungunnuts' chagrin) the 5th iteration of my original thread, but Digga ninja'd me in true warrior fashion. OORAH! So here's what I was thinking: They have finally moved the All American to the rifles section of the wiki and have ackowledged what we have known for a while that it's the unique of the Marksman Carbine. So that got me thinkin'. So far, the only named uniques we know for sure are that and Maria, right? Did I forget some? Anyone want to hazard a guess at what the other uniques may be named? I would love to see the Cowboy Repeater unique be named "The Duke".

You forgot the Ranger Sequoia/Hunting Revolver, which will hopefully be semi-unique (i.e. they're given to 4 or 5 elite Rangers) because I want one for me and one for Boone.

Well in one of those crappy previews that came out a few days ago, the author mentioned a guy named Chomp who lived in Primm and carried a special sledgehammer. Maybe it was just a regular one though :shrug:

I think the Archimedes is... just the Archimedes, but I would definitely put it in the unique category. (by the way, who else was hoping the Euclid C-finder would turn out to be some sort of satellite controlled scanner?)

Yeah, you can thank me for getting the All American moved. They had to see a Sawyer post before they believed it though.

They're still bothering me over there because they refuse to admit the regular F3 plasma rifle is in the game, even though it's in two screens, and NO, it's not the multiplas rifle.

Also I got them to add .44 mag revolver to new vegas but they don't have it on the overview yet.

So Sawyer, can you confirm that the Fallout 3 Plasma rifle returns in new vegas?

Random idea for fun...
A guy named Duke that has a unique Fatman called Nukem...
It would be a slight easter egg for a certain game that may finally come out...
Anyway, why would anybody believe the Plasma Rifle wouldn't come back? adding a shotgun variant to the game, but scrap the rifle would be kind of dumb >_>

It would be nice to know a little more about the plasma and laser weapons. I think there's going to be a regular Plasma Rifle too since one of the more recent gameplay vids had a weapon that looked like the Fallout 3 one instead of the Multiplas. I'd like to hear a lot more about the laser weapons. Are there more than just the Laser Rifle/Pistol and Recharger Rifle? Can we mod any laser weapon to be full auto?

If I understand the weapon, the only reason it is not full auto is because it would overheat (and probably explode or something) the Gatling Laser has 3 barrels it rotates between to not overheat like the minigun or gatling gun... so really a "cooling" mod sounds like it would work on making it full auto, but who knows .-.

what about craftables?

We know the shishkebab is back in, and theres that bladed gauntlet thing (maybe its craftable?)... wonder what other craftables are in... I'd like to see more useful craftables, as a few of the ones in FO3 were hardly even worth making aside from their "unique" value. Case in point, rock-it launcher, and railway gun. Then there were the bottlecap mines and nuka-grenades, which, while powerful, were hardly worth the effort (IMO... but thats just me I guess).. so really the only useful craftables were the Gauntlet, Dart Gun (infinitely useful, and rarely ever needs repairs), and the shishkebab.

What are you talking about? Railway rifle was awesome. The spikes, the sound, it was great.
I hope it's in. Especially since the powder gangers were railway workers before they went criminal.

Full-auto? Pffft...I want a cooling system mod that allows use as a constant beam weapon. Damage over time rather like a pinpoint flamer, ticking off power cells like flamer fuel, and after a certain beam duration it starts beeping a warning- fail to heed said warning by too long, weapon goes sizzle and becomes useless. Or goes boom. :D

consider it′s design, I would not be surprised if the lever action shotgun has a unique, it will have a terminator reference.

I just watched a interview that had a clip of the pump-action shotgun. The thing that I noticed is that the pump animation was very awkward. Anyone else see this?

to me the oddest thing was it looks like he pumps away from himself to eject a shell, not towards himself like most shotguns.

Yeah, there is almost a stutter pump or something. Instead of back-forward it's like forward-back-forward or something.
