Well, April's almost done...

Has someone tried tweeting at Pete to ask if there's anything more to expect from April?
I tweeted him many times this week,Both asked if we can expect more and asking if we will see DLC at E3 or before E3

I have a question for you guys. Would you rather Bethesda release DLC for Skyrim or never release DLC and spend all their time working on the next Elder Scrolls game? This is hypothetical, and if they do not release DLC the overall quality of the next game would be better than if they spend time on Skyrim DLC.

No... we'd have to wait 5 years, and would become bored with skyrim. Besides their DLC are always legendary.

You will get the new DLC when it's ready.
Time wasted on thinking about something that isn't here yet.

Well that was a pretty stupid post. Why can we not speculate? Are you saying all the time spent from December 2010 to November 2011 was wasted on this forum because Skyrim wasn't released yet?

i could wait, but there is no doubt their DLCs are legendary Bloodmoon, and Knights of the Nine were amazing. I didn't like Shivering Isles, mainly because I don't like Sheogorath he is very annoying.

I would laugh too hard if they released a trailer with horse armor and just showed all of its glory. Ya know, because Shadowmere needs some elven armor!

Through the power of Kinect? Bethesda Softworks and Microsoft Xbox 360 LIVE? has teamed up to integrate the player's own voice into the game! How is that not exciting!? Such a thing has never been possible before Kinect? for Microsoft Xbox 360 LIVE?!

I'd be willing to bet that their expansion announcement was delayed so that Microsoft can use it for E3, where it will be bullet-pointed as an exclusive (since it will be for a month). As shoddy as it seems, in the end Bethesda is making more money and theoretically that means more content for all of us in the long run. Theoretically, though.

you would be wrong then.

the simple fact is most hardcoe gamers are on xbox, its been that way since it launched. even big exclusives on PS3 have mediocre sales compared to most xbox games. uncharted 2 sold something like 3 million copies??? on xbox skyrim sold 5million iirc,

either way kinect is stupid... also why can't headsets recognize voices :stare:
oh. Im wrong because um..the "hardcoe" gamers are all on xbox. Hard to argue with that "logic" does that mean you all have to eat, drink, and sleep as you play?

Beth can release their dlc when its ready. Their DLC are great and I think with Oblivion and Fallout 3 they've learnt what works and what doesn't. That being said, an all action DLC that put in manned forts that you could raid like some missions would be fun, if pointless. (Mothership Zeta, not fun, still pointless.)

But then what happens to the people who play on PC or PS3?

I am not complaining because I could care less, just saying it seems unfair to them since they don't get anything.
People on xbox that doesnt have kinect gets nothing too.

Well, the DLC are usually shorter than the main game but much better quality. I would rather them keep their current system of releasing a great game with a mediocre story(Main quest only... the full elder scrolls lore is amazing) then having a few amazing expansions to make up for it.

Now if they could do a great game and a great story and great expansion packs...

We would never have to buy another game again.

... Plus Skyrim was the game I was waiting for werewolves to come back. I was delighted they were in the game, and I hope they expand on lycanthropy at least some with the expansion. Even if no story additions I want that perk tree soooo bad.

I would rather get that in Since it is supposed to have the most Werecreatures.

How long did it take the Fallout NV guys to start releasing DLC's?

Another hint: What is the 6 and 9 month anniversaries of Skyrim?

The 11th of May will be 6 month since Skyrim was introduced on the market. Probably, by then, at least the Kinect patch will be out. Probably a DLC announcement soon.

In three days Risen 2 will be released: that's the first major non linear RPG on the market since Skyrim debut (unless you want to count Kingdom of Amalur as an RPG... yuck!). Maybe Bethesda wants to spoil the launch a bit by releasing news of the DLC on the same day. Although I think people who appreciate Pirana Bites approach to RPGs are but a minor fraction of people playing Skyrim.

I likes Mothership Zeta. It has a harsh contrast to the games intended feel of gritty and dirty. The clean hallways were a welcome change in my book, and it was fairly humorous. It was overall entertaining even if it didn't have a great story and was just run-and-gun.

I would hope they wouldnt do something like that for Skyrim, obviously. I would more hope for something like Mournhold.

Weren't we supposed to get an announcement or suprise? I know we have only a few days left, but somehow I feel skeptical. Was Kinect April's suprise? Should we expect something on tuesday? They always announce stuff on tuesdays.

Didn't read entire thread so this may have been already said.... but...

The April announcement was the kinect xbox thing.

I'm happy for Bethesda to take their time. We wanted and were promised bigger DLC than Oblivion, obviously its going to take longer than bashing out horse armour did.

I prefer quality over quantity.

Skyrim is less procedurally made than oblivion, so naturally it takes some more time

While I am sadface about waiting, I feel the Kinect update and the killcams/water visuals is a big enough meal to last me a while.

Yeah, I said it. I like killcams, deal with it.
i like kill cams to i don't see why so many people don't like them. it just don't make since to me

PC players have the option to mod their game.
And I, a PS3 player, don't care about this extra content. We'll get the DLC when it's released, and we get the patches like everyone else. I'm personally still exploring the game after hundreds of hours, and I don't need extra content to do that. :)
