Well, April's almost done...

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 2:38 pm

since they came up with more killcams over bug fixed or actual content a while back i have low expectations

but that will just mean if they do come up with something nice it will be that much sweeter

yaknow... they included bug fixes in that update too...

Edit: Now i'm not saying rush the DLC, far from it. If it takes 4 more months to get it right then it takes 4 more months.

Throw us some hype building stuff:
Some concept art.
A freaking picture of a flower sitting on the ground...

Seriously you saw what happened last time we speculated on stuff! It keeps us entertained and keeps people from complaining about minor things for the sake of complaining.
Yes! please Bethesda! This is all I want from you until you are ready to release DLC

I likes Mothership Zeta. and it was fairly humorous.

my favorite part is the beginning where you punch out the medic alien lmao, I used VATS which made it even greater. (I always did melee in VATS for that reason)

Another kill cam lover checking in here  They're so much fun.

I can't believe how ungrateful some people can be. Beth releases FREE content and people still complain :stare:

I don't hate the Kill cams. But I wouldn't have cried had they not been implemented.

Bethesda can take as long as they like with DLC, provided they elaborate on the open ended story lines they've left after the vanilla release.
If we get a rehash of previous material (SI, Morrowind) I probably won't buy them or future titles.

I'm happy for Bethesda to take their time. We wanted and were promised bigger DLC than Oblivion, obviously its going to take longer than bashing out horse armour did.

HI Amazon Queen! How you doin'?

Yes, I agree. Patience is a virtue. I myself would feel self-conscious if i ever came here demanding Beth to hurry up and just give us something, anything. One has to ask oneself: What lies at the root of such anxiety?

An observation I've made ... People have made the argument that Skyrim was released too early. And now people are complaining about the 'MASSIVE' wait of under six months for DLC? I hope these people don't complain if they feel the DLC is unfinished ;)

But seriously guys, it hasn't even been six months. There's plenty of Skyrim to explore while you wait!

Hi Solitudian! Hope you're havng a wonderful day.

Perhaps the people who complained about Skyrim being released too early were not the same people who are now complaining about the massive wait. Just a thought. Generalizations, of which the word "people" is a dead give away, are problematic. Cheers!

I refer a lot of you back to my ealier post in this thread, most of us are not made about the DLC taking some time. We are upset that the company built a hype and then dropped a dud. Do not spent time telling me you are going to make an announcement within a set time frame, instead just make the $%^^%%^ announcement. It is this LAME marketing hype that gets me and many others mad. In the end all it does is make the companies look bad as they build us up for something great and when they fail to devlier their value drops in consumers eyes.

While on lame cmpany practices, please for the love of god quite selling out to platform makers. It is a pure sellout when you give a specific platform 30 days wait so another platform can get the product first as will happen to PC and PS3 owners when the DLC releases. There are other ways to raise capital for games today than selling out a large portion of your customer base.

Come on Bethesda, we had such hopes that you would not go down the evil dark road that Bioware has fallen into. At least they had the excuse that EA drug them down into the mud, you do not have that excuse.

I likes Mothership Zeta. It has a harsh contrast to the games intended feel of gritty and dirty. The clean hallways were a welcome change in my book, and it was fairly humorous. It was overall entertaining even if it didn't have a great story and was just run-and-gun.

I would hope they wouldnt do something like that for Skyrim, obviously. I would more hope for something like Mournhold.

Could you take the constant:

"It's another perfect day in Mournhold."
"Almalexia be praised!"
"Mournhold! City of light! City of magic!"

(Note read this with a bit of humor as it is a joke. :))

Why thank you, I am!

True, I did make a generalization, and yes, they do tend to be false. If nothing else, it's an interesting comparison - some people are complaining because they think Skyrim is rushed, and others are complaining about it taking too long. The forums can be a strange place sometimes!

Gents,
How long did it take the Fallout NV guys to start releasing DLC's?

Another hint: What is the 6 and 9 month anniversaries of Skyrim?

Dead Money was released in December 2010.

oh. Im wrong because um..the "hardcoe" gamers are all on xbox. Hard to argue with that "logic" does that mean you all have to eat, drink, and sleep as you play?

That doesn't make you "hardcoe."
I'm wondering if Dishonored isn't the thing that Skyrim and Rage fans are supposed to be excited about...

That is what i think because that was announced in mid April, and nothing else has been announced and it is almost the end of April.

More robe designs you can buy at vendors. They could change colors on a handful of robes so I could have a red or a green wizard, or a variant of Nocturnal's outfit (for console players) and maybe some Vigilant quest and I'd be happy.

Guess I'm a cheap date.

the Rumors say so..
But that isnt skyrim :) I think kinect was the news/suprise.. also i want to know more about the stuff Gstaff wrote on bethblog, this

"and we’ve got more Skyrim news coming. Bethesda Game Studios has been hard at work on creating the first set of game add-ons that will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. This additional content will add new quests, locations, features, and much more to the world of Skyrim. Stay tuned for more details."
Dont know if thats a small DLC or the big expansion

oh. Im wrong because um..the "hardcoe" gamers are all on xbox. Hard to argue with that "logic" does that mean you all have to eat, drink, and sleep as you play?

What he is saying is that the average Xbox gamer buys more games than the average PS3 or Wii gamer. There have been multiple studies into this and this can be considered a fact. For example American sportgames X360 vs PS3 is 3 to 1 in sales, FIFA sells equally as much but games like Skyrim sell almost twice as much on X360 even thought worldwide PS3 has as much units sold. Of course if you look at the division of Skyrim sales than most are sold in the USA where X360 is more dominant. Add the fact that this is also the console with the most hardcoe gamers and it should come as no suprise that Skyrim finds almost half its buyers on X360.

Last gen itwas PS2 that had the hardcoe market, the original xbox had reasonable sales (it even outsold the gamecube) but the average owner only bought a few games so it could never compete. The hardcoe gamer was on PS2 and that is why PS2 got the focus. Now X360 has this marketsegment and this is why developers/publishers aim at them. I'm not saying it is okay but it is what it is, and nextgen it will likely be different again.

Nevertheless I doubt the Kinect announcement was the big suprise. Even Bethesda should know this would disappoint their fans. Especially since 'fans' are one step above 'hardcoe gamers' and on here they are almost as likely to have a PC as a X360. An announcement of an announcement isn't something most hardcoe gamers pay attention to, only fans do that. So I'm still expecting an announcement, same for Rage.
