That's any game that has team work in it... That's why you play with friends and find a clan.
I don't know how the hold system's going to work. But if there is going to be dedicated server find one with good players. :)

Yea, I know. But what I should have said, Was that if I had no one to play with, as in my boyfriend or friends, then I would have to play with players that aren't going to help me out.

That's kinda low blow to the gaming community, don't you think? Basically stating that playing a team based game without friends or people you know, is pointless.

Amen to that.

Not pointless perhaps but maybe endlessly frustrating.

I'm not saying everyone's like that! I'm just saying that the majority of players in every team based game are noobs are your out for them self and not for the team... I'm sure there will be a lot of people that are good to play with but then you have 5 noobs and the other team has none your [censored]... that's all I'm saying.

My main concern is lag and how it will affect gamers from Latin America and other places far from the US and UK. Most games really dont take that kind of demographic into consideration, in my experience.

Thus, my hopes remain on good support for dedicated servers and the features that come with them, such as playerstats.

Aside from that, the general feel of the shooting mechanics, its of utmost importance to me, that the operation, sighting and shooting of the guns feel as great as they possibly can.

Finally, im concerned for the modding / custom creations aspect of the game, as we havent heard anything of it from the developers, I was really looking forward to trying my hand at skinning and such, and many others will no doubt make wonderful new maps and content.

But, I havent really played much of other SD games so I cant speak from experience here.

Don't we all. However I'd rather have a excellent game later than a crap game earlier.

I totaly agree i mean just look at MW2. Activision just didnt put their time into it... sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. of course its mainly the faults of most of the players on MW2, still shame on Activision for not preventing exactly the same problems that were on COD4 that are now plauging MW2.

My worries for Brink are mainly stemmed out of confusion. What are the different game modes for online multiplayer? I keep reading and reading but it never states clearly what the heck is going on. Will there be the usual capture and hold, capture the (flag or any other type of object able to be captured), or perhaps a game type where each side only has a certain amount of lives and whoever loses all their teams lives first loses (elimination, i guess), or will it be just like the campaign? Because i can see that getting old real quick. That and i am worried that the character body types won't be balanced well, likewise with the classes.

Idea: Like 360 has done, make a moderator staff for Brink. People that can be trusted to keep the game fair. If possible, let them use account suspensions for those who learn a way to cheat. Although this may encourage power abuse, I suggest letting moderators have to apply for only segments of time and let a rating system take place, to rate the behavior of the players. This can help ensure that those who cheat/hack/stat pad or whatever can be suspended. Don't let this just be an option for PC and/or Xbox 360. Make this system a part of Brink on both console and PC because Playstation 3 lacks a moderator system. Use player-given ratings of other players to decide on whether or not they are to be trusted to keep Brink a fun and cheat-free environment. I hope this idea is used...

Its objective based multiplayer. Each map will have one team on attack and one on defense. The attackers have to destroy, hack etc the objectives and the defenders defend the objectives.

Taken from the Compendium:
Brink is all about class-based, team objective gameplay. This is true whether you play campaign or freeplay; the game is always class-based objective. There is no Death Match, Team Deathmatch, CTF, Capture and Hold, King of the Hill, or any other "traditional" gametype. Although there are none of these modes, elements of all these gametypes will be present in Brink. Here is what a dev said on a forum.:

"There are CTF-like mechanics in some places of Brink, but we won't ever do 'pure' CTF because it'd be like taking a step backwards from what we're trying to do."

I would like to see enough people play it to keep it active and have people to play with, but not to the point where it is congested. In terms of community/players, I would rather have what the Ark was intended for, rather than what it has become.
